New Years in Ireland is actually a quiet night. Most people cherish being home with their families to ring in the new year. This year backs 4-5 New Year’s that I have gotten to celebrate while there. Our “usual” celebration is to spend the evening snacking, drinking and hanging out at my cousins house…and this year was no different.
Comfy clothes, yummy junk food and some of my favorite people!
I made a ghetto little photo booth…and made people stand in front of it and take pictures with me…haha Lame..yes.
Yosh and the boys trying to facetime Joel to say Happy New Years…
Mom stayed home with my kids…isn’t she the best!?!? Dad was asleep for midnight so I called over to her to bring Owen (who yes was still awake!) and leave the sleeping girls and come ring in the new year with us. She wasn’t leaving my kids millions of miles away…it is literally 100 yards away…and she brought the monitor over. It was nice to have Mom and Owen there for midnight…not really sure why but New Years is always very emotional for me…I cry every year. And I was sober this year crying…
Owen was just so excited to be awake. My cousin’s woke their oldest kids too…it was cool to have them holding hands in our cirlce while doing the count down.
And we even had Nanny there…the old lady stayed up later than some of us young ones! haha
Once everyone was gone we had to take our pic…the same one we’ve taken a few times before…
And this year was even better since my cousin and his wife from Philly were there to join us…
Hopefully there are plenty more New Years we can all celebrate together!
