We went to the Victoria Gardens little water fountain area this week since it was only 104 degrees at 6pm!! Yikes it was HOT HOT HOT here all week!

Taryn and Addi came with us…and we met up w/ Kristen and Abby from BSB. Owen had fun walking around the fountains, Addi had fun playin in Owen’s stroller and Abby had a blast yelling at people!!! heehee She’s hilarious!

From Baby to Boy in 30 minutes!

So last weekend we decided to finally get Owen his first hair cut!!! Yes after he woke up one too many times with hair like this…

We knew it was just time!!  I was sick of thinking that my child looked like he belonged to a parent shopping at Walmart at 2am on a Tuesday…yes I’m saying my child looked like white trash! haha  So off to Cool Cuts we went.  After waiting 45 minutes (next time we’ll have an appointment made!) he was very excited to get his turn in the car!

He was buckled in and picking the movie/show of his choice…which was Wow Wow Wubsy!

He was helping comb his hair!! And the hair-dresser did an awesome job keeping him distracted while cutting!

It was lunch time so we had to give him “pee-eps” thats how he says Chips (pringles reduced fat are the pee-eps of choice these days)

Almost done…I couldn’t believe my baby was turning into a little boy right before my eyes…yes I got teary eyed watching this take place!!

Happy Daddy video-taped the whole thing. I told him to turn the camera off about 20 minutes into the hair cut…b/c I always think that in 20 years when we watch these we’ll be bored BUT at about 30 minutes in Owen was OVER his hair-cut and was telling us “all done” while trying to climb outta the car. haha So…we got it on tape thanks to Dad!

Wow…how life has changed…for the better!

Today was a surreal day…many might have thought it was just another family day at Sea World but it meant so much more to me.

6 months ago today it was my parents wedding anniversary, my cousin Alan’s birthday but this is what I was doing…DSC01944 Yes…that's me…kicking the sh*t out of cancer during my last chemotherapy treatment.

Lets be real…I looked like HELL, not a brow, lash, hair anywhere…FELT like HELL but at least I didn’t realize it then.

And this is me today…

I was lucky enough to not be worrying about cancer, to be feeling wonderful (ok maybe just a bit sunburned) and have the ability to spend the whole day with 2 of the most important people in my life! MUCH better than having to sit in Kaiser and wait for my ABVD chemo to finish to only go home and feel like crap!

IMG_8041 Yesterday we headed down to San Diego (after a few hang-ups that took us a bit longer to get going) to the Wild Animal Park. I drove to the San Diego Zoo to only realize that we actually passed the Wild Animal Park when driving through Escondido…sooo it took us almost 3 hours to get to a place that should have taken us 1.5 hours. We ate at Taco Bell before entering into the park, only to figure out that my lovely son went #2 and Taco Bell didn’t have a changing table in the bathroom….THEN we figured out I had left my wallet at home….ohhhhh it was just ONE OF THOSE DAYS. But we didn’t let it stop us from having a wonderful time.

Owen got to pet and kiss Deer in a petting zoo And get up close and personal with a sleeping lion

We ended a long day walking those rolling hills at the Wild Animal Park with some fun at the hotel pool with Dada…the weather wasn’t to warm at 5pm BUT Owen still loved the slide and the pool.

Then today our wonderful friends, Heather, Matt and Ryland Cilderman met us for some fun at Sea World. Was a beautiful day and we really enjoyed ourselves.

We met all the Sesame Street people…Ryry was in heaven but Owen wasn’t quite sure about them!

Owen got to touch a Bat Ray…and Owen and Ryry spent some time watching Dolphins swim.

All in all it was an amazing 2 days in San Diego…was a wonderful way to celebrate my health with people I love. (While Mom and Dad were home babysitting our other “children” Ando and Clare…thanks Mom!)
