BSB Halloween Parade

Babies Supporting Babies (BSB) - My Mommy Group has been around since Owen was 6 weeks old. They were strangers when I walked into that room in a church in Rancho all those years ago…but now have become those friends that you can always count on. With busy schedules, working, adding more kids, our group isn’t as close as we were back then, but I think that even though we’re busier now, we have all grown so much as women and mothers that we are reliant on the support we once needed. Either way I love them ladies…they were support for me when I needed it most and didn’t even realize it!

Its been great because since the babies were born we have kinda made it a tradition to AT LEAST get together twice a year…Halloween Time AND after X-mas Time. And of course when possible throughout the year too. Halloween Time we all meet at the Claremont Village Halloween Costume Parade…we NEVER all meet and walk together…but we try to gather at the end for pictures (being on time is an issue for a few of us) lol

This was the group this year…1st and 2nd generation BSB babies…

This year only 3 of the 6 mommies were able to make it…Maria sent her hubs with the girls instead and 2 of the families were unable to come at all. ONE of these years we’ll all make it….one of these years!

Year one we forgot to include Mom’s in the picture (and Mayra forgot a stroller for Edward lol)…then every year you can see the chaotic-ness got worse and worse! But I THINK we might be back on the upswing again…even with the added kids…We GOT this! lol

BUT this year was pretty exciting since it was Ella’s first parade experience…and the girl loved it. Owen was pretty protective…always holding on to the stroller…not letting his sis get too far away from him!

And the Machuca kids came too…seems like they have joined us most years as well. So I get to hit 2 groups…one event! I LOVE it.IMG_7458

So another great trip to the Claremont Halloween Parade. I’m telling myself now that I REALLY hope that we continue to do this for as long as we can (either until Claremont stops doing it OR our kids get too big!!). Its fun and I love it!

Pumpkin Patch

We are TOTALLY those people that bring our kids, all dressed up in their Halloween themed outfits, to the local pumpkin patch to walk around…pose for pictures and NOT buy an over—priced pumpkin! lol Yep.

Why is it that every year we look a lil orange in all our pumpkin patch pictures…??
Way more noticeable in our older pics down below!

But we did let Owen play some games and stuff…so we DO have a little bit of fun! Even if we leave Pumpkin-Less!

Ella liked the music, lights and everything going on!
And look…I’ve realized that I TOTALLY don’t change stuff up very often…and neither does Daddy…he wore the same shirt the first time we brought Owen to the pumpkin patch AND Owen is wearing a pumpkin shirt then AND now
(and no its not the same one! hahaha)

And I’d like to thank the guy who took this picture for us…did he NOT realize my baby was yawning when he snapped…and just to people know…take 2 pics for others…one is always better than the other!

Do these babies look alike????

Park Fun

Daddy wanted to watch football all day (shocker)…I was getting a bit of cabin fever…so we headed toward Nana’s house! I have to say I’m grateful to have parents that live so close, I know they are moving to Ireland for parts of their retired life (which I’m starting to be more and more excepting of), but spur of the moment dates like these are the moments I cherish. Relaxing, talking and watching Owen play at the park that I played on as a kid is definitely comforting. Even if there are gangsters hanging around drinking beers by the ball fields (geeez!)

Ella was sleepy and cuddled up with Nana…I swear it was like she knew I was taking pictures of her.

Ella thinks her Nana is SO funny…especially when she is drunk tired baby!

Non-scheduled hour at the park turned out to be a perfect end to this weekend!!
