Exploring Summerhill

This Christmas trip seemed to be SUPER cold! Us Californians are NOT used to super cold climates.  All the cute wintery clothes are all fun and games until you are actually standing in the crisp cold wind!

When it was NOT raining I got the big kids outside to show them around my parents land.  It was all great for about 10 minutes…then back inside we went.  And Maggie didn’t leave the house ANY time she didn’t need to…we went to Ireland and she had a cough and bronchilitis so I was a worried Mama Bear and left her safe and warm whenever possible.

I love how my parents at this address stone made…my Dad’s ultimate dream…all the way down to the name of the house.

And when it rains for 3 days straight and we finally get a break from the wet we HAD to go puddle jumping outside! Good think Declan (Elfie’s Irish cousin) brought new rain boots to Ella and Owen for their trip!

One of the local old men, puts up this nativity scene every Xmas…and Bernie was dieing to bring the kids down to see it.

Owen is at that age where you LOVES to scold poor Ella…and don’t get me wrong sometimes the girl deserves a mouthful BUT not always. And I’m having to remind Owen that I am the parent, not him! Oh 1st grade…the sass, attitude and new found confidence is just AMAZING.
Hence why here he’s probably threating her life if she doesn’t stand still and hold his hand…IMG_7132
Poor Ella…

Bernie was excited about the nativity scene…I was freaking PUMPED about these super cute barn doors! haha Oh the small things.

Our whole trip I was eyeing this cool wall too…I wanted to get down and have the kids check it out (while i tried to take some pictures of them…) BUT it was kinda a total FAIL! It was freezing. They didn’t give a DAMN about the cute mossy wall…so yeah.

I really love the way he looks at her sometimes…so protective and in love BUT then at other times he wants to kill her! haha

And we HAD to check on the leprechauns house…we visit him every trip! And Ella just doesn’t seem to understand WHY hes NEVER home!!!

How  many more years will they want to visit the leprechauns house? Hopefully a lot more so Maggie gets to experince the magical feeling of thinking the leprechaun really lives there like her older siblings have.
