Owen has been the most amazing little person I have ever laid eyes on. He has taught me so much about myself, about my faith in God, about unconditional Love, and plainly just about Life in general. He has helped me learn about putting things into perspective, and what really matters in life. His sense of humor amazing me…and how much he is like his father, always trying to make people laugh. Owen’s sensitive soul makes me heart shine…and how much he loves and cares for our family and friends is so adorable. Owen’s intelligence amazes me everyday, the fact that he can carry on full conversations and can remember things from months ago…gosh he’s just my smart lil cookie!
Your FIRST birthday party was huge….and so was your second party. We are blessed with many friends whom love us like family…and we are lucky for that! BUT this year for Number 3…I just couldn’t get myself to plan something big. I’m finishing up my masters degree, busy busy with coaching and my anxiety level just couldn’t handle another huge ordeal…so we’ll give it a break for a few years (shhhh he won’t even know the difference). We did an Easter party…with Owens few friends whom we see on a regular basis. Nice and small…simple, yet fun for the little dude.
We dyed and decorated some Easter eggs…
Played in the backyard…
Then had a lil Easter egg hunt…which was great…letting the kids practice for next weekend!

Did some cake…presents…BAM…party done. It was awesome!~
(notice Owen's weird half smile…he smiles like that from time to time since The accident and busting his teeth and chin…we’ll have the dentist and doc look at that at our next follow-up)
Then today on his actual birthday, Yosh and I brought him to the Santa Ana Zoo. It was our first time there…and it was okay. Not a whole lot there, but it did the job!
I couldn’t figure out how to use the self timer on my camera…so one pic of each of us with the birthday boy…BUT he was sooooo over it…crying and so ready for a nap! He knocked out minutes after getting on the road!
After nap, this happy boy enjoyed a birthday dinner at Red Robin…and Mommy and Daddy watched with watering mouths while he ate his ice cream (we gave up ice cream for lent…and its been a tough 40 days…can’t wait for Sunday!)
Then came THE surprise…we got Owen his first fish. He helped pick him out…and it was so cute watching him help Daddy assemble the fish tank! He named him Jedi (with a little bit of help from mom…he wanted fishy the fish…how original!) haha
Owen can’t take his eyes off him…wants to feed him all the time..and even asked if he could play with him on the carpet! haha Oh dear.
Happy Birthday my lil love…so many people love and adore you!! Thank you for seriously being the best boy ever!
