Spring Break started with some Pinterest Crafting with Heather…it was fun! We found these crates on a blog called Lil Blue Boo (this blog is SUPER awesome…she's a crafter, wifey, mommy, and currently battling cancer…I love reading her blog!)…Anyway, I LOVED them so enlisted Heather to help me create these!! She’s always game for crafting fun!
We got little crates for real cheap at Michaels. We used Heathers Circuit to print out letters on sticky liner (cheaper than vinyl and does the same thing). Once we figured out what font and size…we were set. Thank Goodness Heather is patient…it was driving me nuts!
On the blog we got the idea from she made one for her daughter…BUT I thought since Owen already has an Easter basket, it would be cuter to make one for the Easter Bunny…and we could leave carrots for him the night before Easter…
After lettering…it was spray paint time! I was so excited. I don’t know if I have ever spray painted anything…and since being on pinterest I have had hopes of getting to spray paint SOMETHING! haha
(heehee Heather went first…she figured out we didn’t need to spray a lot since it kinda bled a bit!)
Then we scrubed it with steel wool sponges with vinegar and tea…to make it have a “vintage" look~ I felt so crafty! haha
The final product…
I can’t wait to see if filled with real carrots (right now there are gold fish filled fake carrots)…on Easter-Eve…Owen will be so excited to leave something out for the Easter Bunny!
Thanks Heather for being a great crafty buddy!
