Owen and Logan are 3 days apart…and they are seriously brothers from another mother!

Today at Logan’s 3rd birthday party…the big THREE year old boys together!

  Logan’s parents are Kyla and Sean, friends of ours…some of the best. They are actually more like our family…than most of our family! haha But its actually kinda funny how they have had SUCH a huge part in our lives, heck they are the people responsible for getting Yosh and I together! Yosh played college polo with Sean, Kyla was my boss when I was 16, lifeguarding at The Lagoon…Sean and Kyla married…a few years later bought a house and had a house warming party where Yosh and I met!!! Then when I was a senior in college…between polo practice and night classes it was tough commuting…so The Browns welcomed me into their home…and I lived with them for 5 months! Like the adult child they didn’t have! haha Years later, before our wedding, Sean asked Yosh to move in with them so we could save some money before we got hitched…(true freakin’ friends)…so either they LOVED us living with them OR maybe they needed people to be home with their dog since they both worked A LOT! haha Either way those were some of the best times of our life.  Sean & Kyla, Thank you for introducing me to the man of my dreams…and helping us live our Happily Ever After!

But let me share a funny story…when we went out to dinner little over 3 years ago to tell them we were pregnant, Yosh and I were jazzed, and nervous…they were the first to be told outside of immediate family. So we told them that we were expecting…and they were ecstatic for us!! We were THE last to have babies…so everyone was somewhat expecting it I’m sure.  They had one daughter Ava, and of course wanted more at some stage. After our dinner we went to their house…and it was funny because they actually had something to tell us TOO….YES they were expecting baby #2…and we were due practically the same day!! (We think we might have gotten pregnant on the same Laughlin trip in July 2008!)

So it was pretty awesome being pregnant with Kyla…she's an amazing woman and made my first pregnancy very special!

She knew she was having a boy…and we didn’t know what we were expecting…BUT by seeing her belly vs. mine I TOTALLY thought I was having a girl!  Kyla was ALL basketball belly….and mine was just BIG. haha everywhere! haha

Anyway…I went into labor 3 weeks early…Kyla came to visit us in the hospital and was HOPING she’d pop early too…she was more than over being pregnant! So, Kyla was SUPPOSE to wait 3 weeks before having Logan BUT…3 days after Owen arrived…Kyla’s water broke and they had Logan early as well! It was ironic how we were both early. Her labor much nicer than mine but we both had healthy happy baby BOYS!

 

 

This is Owen and Logan’s friendship…developing over 3 years! hah

So today watching the two little dudes play together was pretty awesome. Its good they get along…because they WILL love eachother whether they like it or not! haha
