It always sounds like a fun idea…but MAN I HATE carving pumpkins! haha Owen seems all excited to do it, helping set up everything…wanting to help poke holes, tape outline onto the pumpkin but when it comes to the hard part of cleaning out the guts he is USELESS! haha

Daddy now TORMENTING the poor child (yes Owen is crying in the pic above) to help scoop guts…I swear I think Yosh might have traumatized our child for years to come…many tears were shed…my poor little dude. But thankfully Owen warmed up to the idea of “helping” Daddy…w/o touching the slimey insides! When the guts would get on him he’d say, totally disgusted, “oh man…so awesome”. haha He was trying to sike himself into the whole thing! It was hilarious!
At what age do kids actually start HELPING with the whole pumpkin carving event??? hah I might have to put a hold on this whole activity until then!! haha OR I know…I’ll make it a DADDY activity! haha
But I do have to admit, it is pretty fun to see his little face light up when looking at “his” pumpkins!! Makes it all worth it right?!? haha
Now…MAYBE we’ll get to a pumpkin patch tomorrow…maybe not…but roll on Halloween…we are READY for some Trick-Or-Treating (not really…Owen is terrified of the whole idea…but like everything else I’m sure he’ll warm up to it!)
