I’m sure we have all realized that I LOVE Zumba…but one thing that makes me REALLY REALLY love it, is how in October Zumba Instructors sponsor events called Party in Pink to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness!
Last year our lovely Kim Jenkins hosted an amazing Zumba event with dancing, eating, raffles and tons of fun!! THIS year we attended a Party In Pink event with our Redlands girl, Nicole! Kim’s event last year was more of a party event, winning raffles, buying stuff, etc…Nicole’s event this year was about dancing your booty off with 5 different instructors for 2.5 hours…it was nuts!
This event was at San Bernardino Valley College in the “girls gym”…and man it was JAMMED packed with people (men and women) in pink ready to WORK OUT!
And the event was DJ’d by my boy Jon Crane with JC Entertainment. Great Job Jon (ps. remember that ear protection! haha)
Some vendors came out as well…but we danced so much we didn’t have time to shop around!! haha
As the event came to a close…which was a bit early for this girl…I can’t Zumba for a full 2.5 hours…my belly was as hard as a rock…(I think Baby Girl was telling me to sit a few out)…I started thinking about next year. Many of you know that Mom and Dad are retiring to the motherland (Ireland) in June/July 2013…yes Mom is moving away from me….(Don’t get me started or I’ll start crying)…but she is my partner in crime…I drag Mom along to all events (walks, marathons, Zumba, etc.)…who is going to be my partner when she leaves…?? Yes it’s a long time away but I’m already thinking about that kind of stuff…more things that make me realize how “alone” I’ll be without her. BooHoo…
