Our first few days in Ireland we were trying to get our internal clocks to switch over to Irish time…8 hours ahead can wreck you. We, as the parents, are exhausted trying to get our kids on track too! Oh thank god for my parents.
It totally helps that my cousin and his kids live about 100 yards away from my parents. We are able to open the front door and let them run down the long driveway over to play!!
When these cuties got together it was like no time had passed…it had been almost a year and a half since they last saw eachother but it didn’t seem like it!
The kids really love visiting their Nana and Granda’s Irish house. They have their own room, own toys, and all their grandparents attention!
Our favorite part of visiting Ireland is the idea that we get to spend easy quality time with our family. We do non-tourist stuff like walk to the park, play with cousins, visit Irishtown (my grandmothers house), just hang. Thats when the kids are happiest…to just be together!
Luke, Maggie, Owen, Addison, Ella, Jayden & Gavin…The Mini Crew!
And Maggie and Luke hit it off….future bf?!? lol
Love looking at old pictures with Aunt Ann down in Irishtown. LOVE seeing Maggie walk around that house.
When the sun would come out around Summerhill…I would make the kids smile for a picture…we needed sun! haha
Really love being walking distance from Alan and Denise…seeing them everyday of vacation is what its all about! Either to just play, swing, eat, drink, whatever! haha
Eating Ben’s, drinking, visiting, and sleeping sums up the first few days of Ireland. Then came the real fun!
