Play dates Galore

Summer time is the best when we can get our kids together and use them as an excuse to hang out with other women and chat! haha the kids keep themselves occupied and we can get some much need gossiping in…whether its about TV, pregnancy, boobs, nap schedules, whatever…its always fun!

Wednesday we had a “Boy Play Date” with Landon Crane and Cole Lankford. The weather was very odd in Yucaipa at the Crane’s residence…it was cloudy, muggy and only 85 degrees…weird since only 25 miles away my house was sunny, muggy and 95 degrees!.  But it was perfect weather for some outside play so Holly blew up the bouncy house..got out some trucks and the boys were all good (other than everyone wanting to play w/ the darn Mack and Lightening Truck at the same time…never fails)

Owen loved Landon’s toys…especially this Lightening McQueen electronic car.  It was nice to sit and chat with Lori and Holly about the trials and tribulations of being Mommies to 2 year old boys!! Man they can really be a handful sometimes.  Holly is a very brave woman…she has a 2 year old and a 3 month old lil boy, Logan as well. She is truly the queen of her castle. Lori  has a teenage stepson Wyatt; Cole who is 2.5 AND she is pregnant with a little princess to share her nest with, Audrey!  So fun. 

 

 

Owen found Landon’s Cowboys Football helmet and he thought it was so cool. I told Owen “enjoy wearing it now son…because you will never be big enough to play real football when you are grown up!” haha

 

 

And we don’t discriminate…Owen has girl friends too!! haha  So today we invited Addi & Taryn and Eden & Chris to go to The Cove waterpark with us.  We decided it was probably best to go AFTER naptime…get the most of our time ((which ended up being an awesome decision since we had no tantrums, crying fits, nothing)!  The Cove is a new water facility in Riverside off the 60fwy and Pyrite.  It is pretty awesome. The kids lasted over 2 hours there….I was shocked. They all LOVED the lazy river…which I obviously don’t have pictures of since my camera is NOT water friendly!  I could NO WAY get a pic of all 3 kids together…waaaay too much going on to get them to sit down together!! But here are a few shots I got of our day…

Addi and Owen played near by Taryn and I…while Eden was on the go go go all afternoon. Poor Chris had her work cut out for herself following Eden everywhere (hence why the only pics I have of Eden are her walking/swimming away from me! haha). My child is too much of a chicken to wonder around since all the water buckets dump out every few minutes…he’s a wuss…I know…I’m ok with that! haha And yes my child was THAT kid bothering the lifeguard…good thing he ended up being a little brother of a kid I knew from back in high school (Mitch Dillon), all grown up now!  The kids had a blast, us adults didn’t get to chit chat as much since we couldn’t take our eyes off the lil monsters and they weren’t in the same spot for longer than 30 seconds, but it was still great to get together…and we hope to go back again sometime during the summer!!!
