Since my sis-in-law and family are in from New York, and my niece is feeling MUCH better after her stint with food poisoning, we got to visit the Happiest Place on Earth today! The Van Soest clan have been down at Disney since Tuesday evening. Which is good, they got on all the big kid rides and had their own fun, so by today at lunch time they were cool with doing the kiddie fun rides for Little O! I just love Disneyland, and so does Owen! He was chatting about Disneyland ALL day today…even after he cried at the Kids Club at the gym this morning…Mommy almost had to skip Body Sculpt (buuuut OH she didn’t….and I’m feeling it tonight!!!)
I was thinking…on Yosh’s birthday (which is in 2 days from today) 2 years ago, we were at Disneyland w/ the Van Soests. It was warm day that day as well…Owen was 3 months old…I was nursing…and oh man the New Mom anxiety…and Owen and I didn’t get on a single ride that day…haha
And this year I made everyone take a pic in front of the castle together. I’m totally the camera/ picture Nazi making everyone stand for pics even when they don’t want to! haha They’ll thank me later!
Fun day…Owen got to go on a few rides for the first time…and he loved them. Buzz Lightyear Blaster was a TOTAL hit!
As well as the new Little Mermaid ride….Owen, myself AND Yosh all totally loved it. It was sooooo good! The characters in it look soo much better than the older kiddie rides, and it was just like the movie! Did I mention I loved it…and sang the whole way through! heehee Sorry Missy! ps. Owen was between Missy and I but wouldn’t take his eyes off his surroundings for a second!
And an oldie ride…Owen LOVES It’s a Small World. Daddy doesn’t, but he does it for his little dude! And Cousin Peyton got him a lollipop before the ride…he thought he was so cool with his lollipop…but during the ride he was so intrigued with the singing and stuff he didn’t touch it until the ride was over…(what a total mess!)
