Eggs

I’m not a great mom when it comes to all those messy traditions. I hate carving pumpkins, not a fan of decorating the xmas tree, dying eggs…ugh. They are all the things I don’t love BUT I usually always do for the kids.  I guess its the times they will remember and cherish (ya right!)

We do this outside…thank god for southern california great weather!! Makes for less mess or should I say less clean up mess! AND we did this without Maggie…is that bad?!?! Oh well. She was napping and I wasn’t looking forward to having her try and eat eggs or dye body parts…I was only imaging this moment with Ella years ago…

When she was 1.5 years old and PISSED I wasn’t letting her eat the shell! haha I didn’t need a repeat of that.

So you know how this goes…kids are ALL PUMPED up about dying eggs. They drop the eggs and then loose all interest. 

 

Dropping eggs..yeah…we dropped a lot of them…well actually ELLA dropped a lot of them!

So they actually really enjoyed it! Both love arts and crafts…and I need to make a better effort in doing stuff like this with them more often!!  And I kinda regret NOT letting Maggie try. yes there would have been arguments BUT thats the whole experience huh!?! Oh well…next year it should be great. Oh dear lord.
