Kaiser will only allow you to get a physical every 12 months…regardless of your birthday or any other event. When Owen was 3 I somehow didn’t get him in for a check up until July of that year…so it pushed up back every year after that. I get so annoyed because I like documenting size in their baby books and to be as accurate as possible. haha Pathetic I know. Anyway…when I called to get Owen in for his 7 year check up they didn’t have anything available until OCTOBER of that year…yeah he was practically almost 8 at that point. So we skipped that year and brought him closer to his actual birthday. And luckily…it was time for Maggie’s 18 month check too!
So TWO birds…ONE stone. I thought it was a great idea….
They both behaved and looked so cute in their gowns…but man did that examination room shrink with all of us in there. And Owen is getting to the age where they check-ups are starting to embarrass him…oh god its starting to happen.
Everyone is healthy!! Owen needed to see an eye doctor for his color blindness and just a vision check. Maggie had to get 2 shots…but all was good!!
