Getting Adjusted

written on June 6th

Most people go on vacation and go and do awesome stuff, see awesome sites, etc.  WE go on vacation to spend time with family….I love it!

Being in a different country, different time zone (8 hours ahead of home!) it makes the whole sleeping through the night thing VERY difficult.  This is what 2am has been looking like for us…

Thank God for Frozen…we watch it ALL the time!

I do feel bad for them. Wired at night…sleepy all day. Will take a few days to get adjusted and I’m hoping it happens sooner rather than later!! (it took Owen 4 days and Ella 13 LONG days to sleep 10pm-8am)

But our first few days here have been very low-key.  Letting the kids have time to get to know each other and play. Being able to get outside between showers is awesome. The weather was chilly for us, but warmish for the Irish peeps.

So far my favorite thing to watch is all the little kids play together in Irishtown (my grandmother’s house!)

My aunt was teaching my littles how to play Ring-Around the Rosies.  Their cousins already knew what they were doing so they liked being able to guide the activity! haha So cute!IMG_5268IMG_5271 IMG_5272IMG_5273 IMG_5274

Owen, Ella, Jayden and Addison get along great (THANK goodness..Jayden stopped calling Owen a baby so they have been able to be buddies! lol) After this day Ella would grab Addisons hands and try and play EVERY TIME she walked into my Nanny’s house! It was adorable.

Exploring the outside when the weather is nice is what the kids like to do…and I love that. Reminds me of the trips we’d take here when I was a kid…if it wasn’t raining we’d be playing outside.  Where we are staying is very much off the beaten path…so there is LOTS of nature, wild little creatures and just new places for them to check out.  Owen loves bringing his swords outside and pretending to be a ninja…lol An Irish ninja…funny right!!

Real nature…haha my kids are in shock! lol  And there are wild cats…makes the adventure even more exciting!
