32

32. That number is so boring! haha I’m ALMOST in my mid-thirties…but 32 is just 32…nothing exciting AT ALL!! No big whoop!  So we didn’t make a “big whoop” out of this one! No parties, no drinking…just a GREAT day with my loved ones!

Started my day off my sleeping in on my bestie who was waiting for me outside of my house to run….Whoops.  Only overslept by 12 minutes so we were still about to get the miles in.  The second I came down stairs to run, Owen was so excited to give me my present, it couldn’t wait until after. He helped Daddy pick out some new sunglasses for me…I’m so happy. The scratches from my old pair are probably permanently damaging my vision.….lol

My hip isn’t happy with me this evening over this run BUT its gotta be done. Doing a half marathon in 3 weeks! Oh geeeezus.

Then we decided to head to the beach. It was cold and cloudy here…but we brought our sweatshirts and sand toys…kids wouldn’t mind if the sun was out!

The sun was out…little bit of a cold/cool breeze that kept sweatshirts on Daddy and Ella. Owen doesn’t play around…his shirt came off the second we got settled. haha Kid loves the beach.  It was one of those days where if you were laying down the sun would be warm on your skin…but sitting up it was chilly.

Oddly enough Ella did NOT like the sand. Took her about an hour before she would touch it! She wouldn’t leave my lap for a bit.

Having white children with light eyes is tough on sunny days. Ella wasn’t digging the sun and Owen never likes the sun. Thankfully he wore a hat but of course she would wear a hat for a few minutes then rip it off. Wish my kids would leave sunglasses on! #lighteyedprobs

hahaha yes I just hashtagged in my blog…bahahahaha.

So Ella sat and snacked until Daddy brought her out….

Took her a bit to get used to the feeling of the sand…even big brother tried to help…

I loved watching her….and Owen amazed me. He didn’t even need us. So sad. He played in the sand, collected sea shells, waded in the freezing water. Such a big boy this summer! Its crazy. Ella cried and whined a good bit…but finally ended up loving the sand!

It was a beautiful day!! Watching my kids, peacefully listening to the ocean…it was really nice!!!
Thought it would be a good day to practice taking some pics on manual….man its hard!

We tried our hardest to get a few family photos using self-timers….haha made for a good time and more exercise for me. lol

We then came home showered and got ready for dinner at my fav place, Outback!
But first…a pic with my babies…same place as last year!

Oh what a difference a year makes!

Lovely dinner with my awesome parents.

On top of being tired, Owen got a tummy ache halfway through dinner…poor guy….it was so bad that ice cream OR a quick trip to Toys R Us didn’t cure it.  He seemed ok at bedtime, hoping its just him being tired and dramatic…NOT sick (oh please!)

And yes that is Nana’s necklace that Ella is wearing…this little girly girl loves her accessories!

All in all, I had a great birthday!!! Nice and mellow…and I’ll be happy to wake up tomorrow w/o a hangover!! haha And all the love from social media made my day THAT much better!! Thanks friends!
