When Owen, Jayden and Addison go down for naps in the afternoon you would think that I would lay down as well…being that I’m awake all night with Owen who thinks he’s still in California…but NO I hop on the computer with the bit of quiet time and blog…haha smart move Erin…but anyway…
What do we do around Summerhill (thats the “area” where my cousin and aunt have built their homes…its just up a tiny car path from town) other than play with toys, dance to funny music and color (all indoor activities since its usually too chilly to be outside for long)….Owen likes to hunt for cats…wild cats that hang around the house!! He thinks its sooo cool!! They seem very friendly hanging out on the kitchen window ledge BUT once you step foot outside they jet!
Yes we made our lil men match for the day…adorable don’t you think?!?
Next time its not raining we’re going to go hunting for froggies in the creek thats out back. Owen said he wants to find a froggie to bring home to Addi (thats all she says she wants for xmas when you ask her) haha. He’s so thoughtful!
We are also getting to spend some time with Nana and Grandad…not as much time as you’d think but we try and go down in the evenings. Grandad looked around Castelbar for hours looking to find Owen a train set and lego set to just have toys down in their rental house for when Owen comes down to visit! haha Dad loves this time of year…and I think he loves seeing Owen enjoy himself so much. Brings back many memories of when Paul and I were young…dad would always be so vibrant during the holidays when I was a kid…and I think finally I see my dad a bit happy this year, first time I’ve seen him like this in YEARS!!!
We need to get down to see my grandmother more often but between Owens naptime and Nanny’s nap time we seem to miss eachother often. More to come later…
