And our vacation begins…

Lookie what I downloaded on my cousins computer….heehee Windows Live Writer…which makes blogging soooo much fun while on vacay!!!. hahaha. Last time we came to Ireland I had to wait to get home to blog about our trip…and it was a LONG one…but yay not this time!!!

Yes my child wears one of doggy leashes while we are traveling…my worst fear is for some crazy international person to steal my child and pack his body with drugs…yes harsh but it scares me…so he stays very close to mommy at ALL times!!

We arrived at LAX and my anxiety was flowin’…we have never flown with U.S. Airways so I wasn’t sure how it was going to go. But check-in was smooth sailing…had loads of relaxing time before boarding. We even spotted Kurt Warner walking through the terminal. I only recognized him from when he as on DWTS not his football career. hahaha

But U.S. Airways experience was awesome…LAX to Philly was alright…was around Owen’s nap time and he was asleep before we even took off. Unfortunately we had a VERY rude family behind us. You know the type that think they are the only ones on the damn plane…reading books loud enough for not only their 4 year old to hear but also the people in 1st class  and those in the very rear of the plane. So obviously our Owen didn’t get as much sleep as we thought he was…thank you rude assholes sitting behind us!!  I was worried about the short layover in Philly but we ended up getting to check our bags through at LAX so we didn’t have to worry about getting those and making our way through customs. Made the transition so nice.

Owen didn’t sleep much from Philly to Dublin..he was a little champ. Hung out and watched his movies and read his books. He’s such a great little traveler!!

We stepped off the plane in Dublin and felt the nice frosty weather. I was scared to drive in the ice but we got to the hotel safe and sound. Took a nap…then dragged ourselves out of bed to try and get our bodies onto Irish time. Walked around the only mall in Ireland called Liffy Valley before heading back to bed at 7pm. Owen woke at 1am ready to play…yeah his body was still on cali time…we got him back to bed at 4am to be awoken to him puking ALL over me at 7am. Our poor little dude had a tummy bug. He puked every hour (even in the middle of the restaurant at breakfast) until about 10am when he finally feel asleep on the long 3 hour car drive home to Foxford.

yes I took this while driving…found us a rainbow in Ireland…and can you see the sun was actually shining…freakin’ amazing!!! Maybe we’ll even bump into a Leprechaun on this trip!!! haha

Owen’s feeling all better now…we’re trying to find food that he’ll actually eat…you all know how picky he is…and this place doesn’t help that at all!! He loves his cousin Jayden…they are buddies…

And we can’t forget the newest addition to the McDonnell family…little Addison is just about 6 months old…best baby ever. Shes so good..i swear sometimes I forget she’s even here!!

This week is a nice relaxing week…once Christmas gets here things will start to pick up and get kinda hectic…with the holidays and then the Brogan nuptials!! More to come later…I think I need to get a quick nap in while Owen is down too!!
