Today we actually had REAL rain in Southern California!! Its weird since we don’t really get rain rain very often, but there was a steady stream all day long!! I was at a Health Curriculum meeting so thankfully I wasn’t outside trying to teach PE…walking in the water going from one facility to the next…Would have sucked considering I had to get a real cast back on my friggin’ foot again yesterday.
I’ve been in a “camboot” but found myself walking so so much on it…and in more pain than I was before all this started! So my podiatrist advised a cast. Went into Kaiser Ontario yesterday…and the lady who put on the cast just didn’t do a great job of it. I knew the second I left the office that I’d have to go back to get it fixed…and I was right. BACK at Kaiser today to have a new proper fitting cast put on my foot. They made me pay a co-pay, see an urgent care doctor just to get an order put in for a new cast!! And ODDLY enough this doctor reviewed my old x-rays and noticed 3 different fractures on my foot. 2 fractures on my 2nd metatarsal and 1 on my 1st metatarsal (big toe). So annoying, but hopefully 3 weeks of this cast and being on my knee-walker (pics to follow soon) I’ll be healed by Halloween!! ((Fingers Crossed))
But the whole purpose of this post isn’t just to talk about the rain and MORE pouting about my foot…..I’m having a NEW pity party for myself this evening. When I came out of Kaiser and into the parking structure today, I found my lovely Nissan Murano NOT in the condition I left it. When I opened the trunk I saw scratches all on the bumper…someone hit my car while I was in the cast room. AND they didn’t even have the decency to leave an “I’m Sorry” note or anything. Now the damage isn’t too horrible or anything but it’s the principal that my pretty brand new car now has damage!! I wanted to cry. Seriously…these past few weeks have been awful! I feel like everything is going from bad to worse…I just have such BAD luck. I know…I should be grateful that it happened when no one was in the car, no one was hurt, etc. I know BUT still it just sucks. I’ll get over it though…as I always do…but MAN grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
This is the damage…I know not tooooo bad…but that isn’t the point! Stupid ghetto people hitting my car just pisses me off though!!! Those are my finger rub marks…I was trying to see what I can clean up when I got home…but the dark scratch toward the top has like cracked the bumper!
I know my car is dirty too…BUT never fear the rain gave her a good washin’ today! lol
I’m going to stop updating on facebook for a while too…I feel like I’m turning into one of THOSE people that are always posting about negative, depressing stuff…So I’m gonna keep it to myself for a bit! haha (In case you start to wonder!! haha) So I’m going to go eat some cookies (good thing I’m trying to lose some lbs for a DAMN X-mas wedding I’m in umm thank you Catherine Costello! hahahaha) Good Night for now.
