All I know is that something or someone has taken over my beautiful baby boys body and is making him act like a possessed crazy, crying little beast! What the heck happened?!? I swear…he has officially been 2 and a half for 9 days…and in these past 9 days alone he has thrown more tantrums, crying fits, done mean/bold things (like throwing toys at Mommy’s face b/c I wouldn’t let him play the ipad!) than he ever did in the first 2 and a half years of his WHOLE darn life! OH GOODNESS. Sometimes in the evenings, when he’s down to sleep (which thankfully is NEVER an issue), I’m so tired from him being a tad bratty all evening…its crazy! haha I thought that my PERFECT child would NEVER fall into the “terrible twos”…but yeah…guess every kid goes through it right?!?! And DO NOT even tell me it only gets worse when they turn THREE…I’ll stab you in the eyeball! haha I don’t even want to think about when he’s three…especially if he’s gonna be acting crazy like people say!!
But even with the terrible two’s officially entering the Souza house…Owen still has so many moments of making us laugh and smile. I’m amazed how smart our little dude is!! Lately he loves when we introduce him like a super-star announcer…he makes us say “Ladies & Gentlemen, Boys & Girls, Introducing the Amazing, The Handsome, The Funny….OWEN….PAUL….SOooooOOuuuUUZA” (and the crowd goes wild) haha! He’s such a little ham too!!
But this morning, our conversation on our way into the car is just one glimpse of the happiness this child brings me each and everyday!
Owen: You see the moon Mama…you go to space like an astronaut.
Erin: Do astronauts fly to the moon in an airplane?
Owen: ((Laughing)) Nooooooo….they go in a spaceship!
Erin: Ohhhh yeah Ü Do you wanna be an astronaut when you grow up?
Owen: Yeah I wanna be an astronaut
Erin: Or do you wanna be a doctor?
Owen: Oh yeah, I wanna be a doctor
Erin: Ohh…Whadda bout an animal doctor? They are called veterinarians…you want to be a veterinarian?
Owen: Animal Doctor? Yeaaaaaaah.
Then he paused a few seconds…
Owen: (sooooo seriously) Oh!! I wanna be a HAMSTER!
Sadly I had to explain to him that he’s human and can’t become an animal when he grows up…he was pretty bummed!! haha A friend of mine write’s down her kids funny conversations (she calls them “isms”…like Ava-isms or Logan-isms") and so I’m going to try and start documenting them too…I want to remember them so I can someday share these funny times with Owen!!
And another thing Owen’s totally into these days…is getting into the shower with whomever is in there…I caught this picture the other day…its not too embarrassing right?
Man do I love these boys..
