The city of Claremont has a Halloween Parade and Craft festival every year in October. One of the BSB mommies knew about it from many years of attending and on the babies first Halloween (back in 2009) we braved the crowds being new parents with 6 month olds and participated in the Parade. Since then we have made it a point to continue the tradition…and we bring the kids here very year to get a chance to have fun and flaunt their costumes before the 31st.
It started back in 2009…
Sophia, Gwen, Owen, Abby, RJ and Edward were 6 months old…
Continued in 2010…
Sophia/Maria, Owen/Me, RJ/Courtney, Gwen/Erine, Edward/Mayra & Abby/Kristen…kids were 18 months old.

…And now this year…our 3rd Annual Halloween Parade
RJ, Courtney, Ava, Owen, Me, Kristen, Abby, Gwen, Erine, Sophia, Avea, Maria (missing from pic is Baby Todd * Edward & Mayra who were home sick)…
And we’ve had THREE new additions to the BSB Group this year! We are multiplying quickly! lol
This was the most organized we’ve ever been! We actually met ON TIME…like BEFORE the parade started. It was cool. We had time to actually “line-up” for the start of the parade…without having to run and hop into the parade where ever we fit like years past. Its amazing how experience as a parent will get you to places in a more timely fashion (for some of us)! haha All the kids are still pretty small to really enjoy the whole thing BUT as time goes on they will all hopefully cherish this tradition like we do so much!!!
Again this year the Machuca Family were able to come out and join us as well…I love having my childhood bestest friend Cindy share this tradition with me too!!
Baby Raymond, Owen, Alyssa and Amanda at the end of the long parade route. Candy was the major bribe of the morning. Whenever a child became cranky we just had to remind them that they got candy at the end of the parade…it was an immediate cure for whatever the situation was. (Yes I know…AMAZING parenting skills!) hahaha
New-Comers to the parade this year were the Gerke family.
SuperBoy and his gf Wonder Woman! Aren’t they adorable.
Our little family…enjoying another festive day with lots of amazing friends!!!
2011 Halloween Parade
Yep…I’m still on my darn scooter!! Hopefully I’ll be cast free after my appt on Oct. 28th!! ((Fingers Crossed))
And look at this little boy…he was wearing the same costume that Owen had for his first Halloween…Little Irish Footballer!!
