And away she goes…

IMG_3918

I know a lot of people make friends in high school or college and they eventually move away as a part of life…but Erika is the first one of our group to MOVE away…like move FAR away! Gabby relocated to San Diego a few years ago…but that doesn’t count since its only an hour drive away.  I mentioned before that Erika was moving to Warden, Washington here  but as of today…she’s a resident of Washington State…no longer a Californian!

And this past weekend we had the dreaded going away last get together. I was on a mission to stay as late as Erika’s sister would let me….and drink enough for Erika and I both! haha Well…mission accomplished across the board! haha  We stayed late, chatted for hours on end and was another great night to add to the many we have shared together…minus Erika being on the same level of intoxication as Cindy and myself of course. That darn fetus surely gets in the way sometimes heehee.

Yes I cried a good few times throughout the day and night…but tears are definitely necessary at occasions like this…right?!?  I really don’t have much to say right now…other than…I already truly miss my Mexican sister…she is an 18 hour car ride away…and it makes me sad! I told her, Gabby and Cindy that I really hope that distance makes the heart grow fonder because then we will surely LOVE eachother even more!! haha…and I am already looking into cheaptickets.com. If anyone knows of deals for flying to Seattle, please fill me in!! Thanks.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Paul:

Good Luck in this next chapter of your lives. Yes you know that I’m totally sad (and a tad selfish) that I’m not going to be standing by your side the whole way through BUT you know I am only a phone call, text message or skype connection away.  This is going to be such an amazing experience for you both, starting a new family…together in a small town!!  I wish you nothing but the best as you settle into this new way of small town living…and I totally can’t wait to make the journey way up North to see you guys. Erika, I will miss getting to touch that baby bump, I was really looking forward to feeling “her” kick and move but hopefully (please God) you will be coming down before April 4th so we can shower you with LOVE!!! And if you can’t make it down hopefully we’ll be living closer together for Baby  #2 or #3?!?!?
I love you both dearly…and like Cindy said…its not a Good-Bye but a “See you later Friends!”
