Have I told you lately how much I LOVE summer??

Fridays in our house are nice…I’m teaching Online Health in summer school right now Monday – Thursday…2 weeks down only 2 more to go until I’m completely FREE. But on Fridays I don’t have to be physical in class for summer school, I only have to conduct “office hours” where the kids can reach me for any assistance they might need. So after the morning hours we are free.  I wanted to get out of the house…and do something “easy” with my boys. So I checked weatherchannel.com to see what the weather looked like at the beach…it said cloudy and 65 degrees..which is pretty chilly for us!  But I thought, lets go anyway..Owen doesn’t care of its sunny or not, he just wants to play in the sand.  After nap time…we headed to Newport Beach.

Let me back track…before nap Owen found some letter blocks that I have been hiding from him for some time now…blocks are just so darn messy to me. I hate them! haha I know every child loves them, but they get on my nerves especially when I find one hiding under the couch 9 months from now. But he found them…and we enjoyed playing with them.  I love mornings like these…mis-matched jammies and all…Owen thinks he’s a comedian, we laugh at him and we just enjoy seeing him be a real little person with a very funny personality.  I’d build the blocks up…and he’d knock them over.  At one point I wanted to try and get a picture of him knocking them over…but he was being a little rascal and was acting “shy”…it was cute…

Then…I turned around for one second and…

The beach was gorgeous! The internet weather channel totally LIED! It was 75 degrees, sunny and just beautiful! So we sat…Owen played and I just soaked up the sun and actually RELAXED! It was amazing.

Owen would run after the seagulls…and as soon as the water would come up he’d freak out and run back to me…

This pudgy little hands and feet are so cute in the sand…

Owen thought it was funny to walk through every foot print we tried to do…so this as the best shot I got of the  3 of our prints!!!

Great Day at the beach…we ate dinner at Sharkee’s which was a bit overwhelming for Owen, but once I told him it was the sharks from Finding Nemo that were hangin’ from the ceiling he seemed to calm down a bit. Poor lil dude…

IMG_1665We ended the day going to Hoag Hospital and getting to meet Baby Brynn Harper Cilderman…the newest baby of the crew. She was born earlier that day (June 17th) Little chuckster came in at 8lbs 8oz and 20.5 inches long and this little white baby actually has lots of hair (unlike her big brother, RyRy, who didn’t get hair until after his first birthday!)

… She's absolutely adorable…congrats again Matt, Heather and Ryland!

Owen just LOVED holding Brynn…hope that means someday he’ll be an awesome big brother…

Great lead into Fathers Day weekend…more on that later! Smile
