Gosh…its so weird for me to think that Yosh and I have been married for FIVE years already!! I remember planning that wedding like it was yesterday but at the same time I feel that it was a lifetime ago. Sooo much has happened, we have changed and grown so much since then.
When I first met Yosh…we were at Kyla & Sean Brown’s house warming party for their San Bernardino home (November 2002). Before he showed up to the party, I saw a pic of him on the wall and asked Kyla who the hottie was…she was so excited that I thought he was hot…her match-making skills started at that second. Well he showed up w/ another girl in tow…so I left the party w/o chatting w/ him much. To make a LONG story short…he FINALLY called me after he got my number from Kyla…we met at a Starbucks and chatted until 2am! We connected on the spot.
Our wedding was such an amazing day, we wed at Etiwanda Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga, California. We had tons of friends and family come to celebrate with us from all over the world, and those that couldn’t come made special phone calls to chat. Last night we watched the video that my wonderful sister and brother-in-law filmed for us (Thanks Missy and Chris). I watched…and just got so sad…life was so different back then. I had LONG hair…was tan and skinny…and a smile plastered on my face…no “real” stress. Don’t get me wrong…I LOVE my life and where we are in it (everyone healthy and happy, etc.), but man…to be young again. That day was awesome, I loved every second of it!
But anyway here are some shots from our special day that I had to scan in since my photographer didn’t do digital copies back then (bad move on my part for picking that photographer grrr)
From that meeting at Starbucks. many moons ago, I knew I was going to fall in love w/ this guy. And that I surely did. He is such an amazing man…all around. He’s an awesome supporter, motivator, encourager and just all around amazing person. We became boyfriend/girlfriend in 2002, Mr. & Mrs. in 2006 and I can totally say that over the last 5 years our relationship has grown from just being merely a couple, to having something extra special and being best friends. I can truly say he is my ultimate soul mate. I’m not sure any other would be able to handle me…and all my baggage haha This five years has proven that we can handle anything…its been one crazy roller coaster but we have stuck together and made it through. Yosh gave me the best gift EVER, which is OWEN. Being parents is the best experience EVER…Thank you babe for being so awesome. Happy Anniversary!
