This post is a little bit delayed. I totally forgot about it…
When Owen was 6 weeks old I joined a group, which I have mentioned before in this blog. We call ourselves BSB for “Babies Supporting Babies”. This is the last day of our Mommy Support Group Meeting…we are missing Maria and Sophia in this picture since Maria had to return to work before all of us!
We get together as much as we can…and every year we participate in the Upland/Claremont Halloween Parade AND we try to have an annual X-mas pajama party. See below…
Its pretty awesome to have people that totally know what your going through, since they are going through the same thing AT the same time. BUT all the babies were born within 6 weeks of each other…or closer. Soooo birthday season is crazy!~ Last year we only got 1 picture of ALL 6 babies together…and that was at Owen’s 1st birthday party. Its hard to get 6 families on the same weekend AND be at the party at the same time…almost impossible!
So this year was just like last year…party party party. Every weekend we had birthday parties to attend to, just for BSB, nevermind other friends and family!!! So from the end of March until beginning of May we are BOOKD every weekend!!! Here are some pictures from our 2011 busy “birthday season”
March 26th: The party season started off with a non-BSB member, Jackson Smith. He celebrated Toy Story style at the park. Owen had so much fun learning how to fly a kite, jumping in the bouncy house and eating PIZZA!
Our first weekend started off with a bang, since we had 2 parties in ONE day. After Jacksons park party we went to Edward’s party at My Gym in Pasadena. Edward actually shares a birthday w/ Owen so we TRY to make sure we don’t celebrate the same day. Owen was nervous about the loud music inside My Gym, but once he relaxed he enjoyed a lollipop w/ Edward.
April 2nd: It was Owen’s turn!!! We had an awesome Pirate themed party in our backyard. Bouncy house, LOTS of kids, Treasure Hunts and Owen got to celebrate with many friends and family!
April 9th: We had headed to the river during spring break, knowing we were going to stop at Logan’s party on our way back…but I cam home w/ the fly! So Daddy and Owen celebrated Logan’s 2nd birthday while Mommy was dieing in bed! Logan is not a BSB member BUT he was born 3 days after Owen! This was a pic that Yosh sent to me via text that day.
April 16th: Next on the birthday agenda was Gwen from BSB’s Sesame Street themed party. It was a pretty warm day, so the water station was a hit w/ the kids. I think all babies ended up wet and in diapers!
April 23rd: Sophia’s birthday was a different experience for all of us. We celebrated at a Jolly Bee’s restaurant. Maria explained it as a Filipino McDonalds. This lil BSB member has been our smallest munchkin since birth I think.
April 30th: Our last BSB birthday for the year was for Abigail. Her princess themed park birthday was fun. The kids got to run around like crazy, play at the park while all seeing each other too.
Parties we missed were: Edwards (as Mayra says “Mexican big party”) party w/ Mickey Mouse and RJ’s Nemo themed party on May 9th. It’s a busy time of year for us, so please everyone don’t have anymore children in April…thanks! haha
I hope we are able to keep this endurance up throughout the kids lifetime…Cheers BSBs!
