Hollywood Baby

I have basically lived in Southern California my whole life…and have only been to Los Angeles a handful of times. Usually its only to go straight to the airport. Hollywood, Beverly Hills, LA, just aren’t places we visit very often….or ever.

The only time I’ve done Hollywood and such is when I have Irish visitors here.  And since Caoimhe is a fun young age all into celebrities, movies, etc. I thought it would be beneficial to do a LA Tour. Mom was all about it too…it was actually pretty exciting to get to see the sites we always hear about that are in our backyard.

We found a highly recommended tour online that started at the Santa Monica Pier (another place we NEVER go to…but looks super fun!) IT was in a topless van and our tour guide was great.  He knew lots of fun facts and celebrity sites.

We got a great turnout spot to see the city skyline and the Hollywood sign.

I never laughed so hard watching my mom and her best friend try and get a good selfie using a selfie-stick. They were comical.

Caoimhe loved it!

We went to Sunset and saw the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Grauman’s Chinese theatre…with about all of California. It was PACKED!

We drove up Mulholland Drive, getting a glimpse of “The Valley”. We were then brought to an outdoor Farmer’s Market in Los Angeles.  We were excited about the ice cream and my garlic fries were on point!

Our last stop on the tour was to Rodeo Drive.  There wasn’t much shopping done BUT it was fun to walk past all the super rich fancy shops.

Instead of going IN shops…we just stood in the cute mirrored windows and took selfies! hah

Overall it was a super fun experience!! I’m not sure if we REALLY saw celebrity homes or sites BUT it was fun pretending!! If you ever have out of California visitors I recommend doing one of these tours. Caoimhe said she absolutely LOVED every minute of it!!
