I found my favorite camping location…so far….its Sunset Vista at Huntington Beach.
Its parking lot camping…which some people don’t like but I find it easy. It had hookups and was about 20feet from the sand and about 1/2 mile from the pier. I loved it. The spots weren’t crammed, they had a separate parking row for your tow vehicle (which was awesome) and a space on either side for cushion between you and your neighbor.
And about 20ft away from Jack’s Shack as well.
Once we arrived the kids were determined to get to the sand. It was awesome to be SO close and not have to trek a million miles to play.
This was our big group of kids…4 families…and the kid totally out number us.
We booked these sites back in February…it was a total cluster trying to book them…website issues and I thought forsure this place was going to suck…but I was wrong. It was Connor’s birthday weekend, so we were camping and celebrating him!
Little Connor-Man was turning 4…and Ella declared that camping birthdays are the best! haha
It was Connor’s birthday but also Kerri’s birthday. So Michael got her a cake (which made the kids very happy!)
First night there we chilled by the fire…and I got to enjoy my first alcohol beverage while camping.
When we got Sally I was prego with Maggie…can you believe we have had her for a year already!! Nuts.
So firepit and a Razberrita…it was nice.
I was nervous about this trip in regards to Maggie and sleeping. Last time we camped she was a little baby…no rolling over nothing. BUT now the little lady is rolling, scooting, etc. So I wasn’t sure where she’d sleep and STAY asleep. She ended up in the bed with me like before and it worked well.
The weather was beautiful. Kinda warm in the sun but the breeze was chilly. I guess it was windy and cold down by the water…I never got there because stayed at the trailer while Mags napped.
And Maggie also LOVED camping. Shes now movin’ in that walker so she loved being able to wander around all on her own.
And Taryn did a great job throwing Connor’s birthday too! Ella was so excited for the cupcakes that Kris made like a pro…bubbles, the pinata and all the candy.
Pinata Time!
Kris was in his trailer ALL day making these cupcakes. They are pretty amazing!! All of it was eatable…even the chocolate webs!!
It was a very relaxing trip. Spending time with these friends and my family are moments I cherish. I want my kids to always remember these days and times.
And you know whats awesome…when you go in and give all your kids showers…get them nice and clean and ready for bed. You get the all warm and let them go by the fire with their dad while you get the baby to sleep. THEN you come out of the trailer to see them filthy of smore mess!!! Oh my lanta. I had to laugh…and take pictures.
O loved this camping trip but feel like we didn’t get to take advantage of all the perks. Since we were only there for a quick 2 nights and we had plans/birthday parties to attend we stayed around our campsite. I’m DEF going to be trying to book another trip there. Hoping for a spring break trip!
Great times…love our camping trips!!
