Mother/Son Event

So I got a flyer in Owen’s backpack about a Mother/Son Field Event. 

What the hell does that mean!!?!? It said there was going to be a photobooth, hotdog dinner combo and that was about it.  I was annoyed with the lack of details given on the flyer (over thinking as usual)…so I texted some of the moms. Guess it was supposed to be a sports themed dance/dinner/games event for Moms and Sons at Owen’s elementary school. They had gotten a “sports themed” DJ who coordinated games. It was fun. I wish there were better details given and I’m sure more mom’s would have dressed the part. 

But you know I had to make sure we were ready…even if we were going to be the only ones dressed for Sports Games
Team Souza did dance competitions, water balloon toss, limbo, etc.  It was fun.  We lost at everything but thats ok. I loved seeing how happy Owen was to play.

We passed on the hotdog but got a bag of chips and soda (it was a special treat for Owen)

It was so cute…and Owen said on our way home from Chik-Fil-A (we went to dinner after!) that it was one of the best nights of his life! This kid loves his alone time…and he LOVES dancing and playing!  The cutest part of the night (for me) was the DJ played a slow song and made all the little boys slow dance with their mama’s!! Ugh my heart was SO happy!!!
