Let me tell a story about a “procedure” I had done recently….it was horrible…and yes of course I took pictures and documented it to show all of you! ha
PS. WARNING: NASTY GRAPHIC PICTURES IN THIS POST!
For some reason I am the lucky lady to get plantars warts on my feet…I have had 3 in my lifetime…one in college (compound ‘w’ worked liked a charm), one right after I had Owen (chemotherapy killed that sucker) and then again last summer, which would NOT go away. They are always on different spots on my feet…but they are so annoying and ugly. I HATE going and getting a pedicure, totally embarrassing since I know the ladies are talking about my ugly wart in Vietnamese…as I’m sitting there with a big goofy grin on my face. So…since my left foot is STILL having “issues” due to my lovely injury from way back in September, I have been seeing a podiatrist often. While I was visiting Dr. C for a second opinion for my injury (which he said my foot is jacked! haha)
If you notice the “foreign” little bone sticking out the top of my foot where my big toe is in the xray…yeah…he has no clue how that got like that. No surgery as of now…but we’ll wait and see if it heals on its own (HELLO doc…we’ve been “healing” for 8 months now!) Its actually feeling better lately…so I’m finally feeling good about it.
NOW…back to my wart!
I had him look at my wart after going over my injury and xray. He must have thought I was crazy coming in with all these complaints! haha Oh well. Doesn’t he know I’m a VIP Member at Kaiser.
So he gave me a few options…since the compound W and freezing didn’t work he said we could surgically remove it OR use this medicine to make it blister and go away. I decided to try and do the less invasive procedure and go with the medicine. I could handle a blister…I had TONS during our 60 mile breast cancer walk a few years ago. While doc was scrapping the wart and applying the “medicine” I told him about the crazy Irish voodoo of finding 9 snails and burying them in a jar and that’s suppose to cure warts. He laughed and said “Well…I AM putting Beetle Juice on your food…so maybe the snails isn’t that crazy”
BEETLE JUICE, BEETLE JUICE, BEETLE JUICE…..what the heck?!?
I came home, with my toe wrapped up and googled it….OH HELL NO …its real blister beetle venom on my foot. And note to self next time (which I should have already known this)…don’t google anything like that….oh my word. The pictures of warts and blisters and nastiness. JESUS! I was terrified what my toe was going to look like…
From my Google Search!
Cantharidin. Your doctor may use cantharidin — a substance extracted from the blister beetle — on your plantar warts. Typically, the extract is paired with salicylic acid, applied to the plantar wart and covered with a bandage. The initial application is painless, but the subsequent blister that forms can be quite painful. Your doctor clips away the dead part of the wart in about a week. (from mayoclinic.com)
So, like the doc said a few hours after application the throbbing started….and man…it throbbed, blistered, swelled for DAYS! I’ll show you…
I had to keep the dressing on for 2 days…but this was what it looked like the day I got to see it for the first time.

I thought I had like the flesh eating bacteria or something?!?
I thought I had like the flesh eating bacteria or something?!?
And day by day it changed…I thought gangrene was going to take my toe..and I’d be that person with the tattoo on my foot of the piggy taking the toe to the market…you know the picture on fb that’s been circulating.

And then I went into the doc 2 weeks later for him to “clean it up” and it looked like this..
I’m happy to say…the healthy skin it grown back and looking great…pretty normal now! BUT the moral of this story…IF you are ever faced with this decision….surgery or “medicine”…I FULLY advise you to go with the surgery! haha Seriously…it was pretty painful…it freakin’ sucked! ALSO from this point on I’ll now be wearing shoes or booties OR SOMETHING on my feet when I go mystic tanning…I swear that’s gotta be where I got that nasty virus from. blah
Oh…and your welcome for this yummy post! haha
I just had the beetle venom put on a wart on my finger yesterday. My finger is very swollen and it hurts so bad. I was wondering how long yours hurt for or did it hurt the entire time.
ReplyDeletehaha Oh Rachel...mine hurt for about 5-7 days...and since it was on my foot I hard such a hard time walking. After the blister kinda starts to let go of some pressure the pain goes away. But sadly...my wart is back (after that torture)...and bigger and worse!!!! I'm having it surgically removed June 15th :(
ReplyDeleteI just had this beetle juice put on 4 warts on the bottom of my foot and OMG!!!!! THIS HURTS! I'm on crutches for 2 weeks because of where they are located. I begged for the surgery instead but Dr wouldn't do it. SD I have to do this twice before he would consider the surgery. Bad thing is it comes in waves of pain like contractions. And he gave me NO pain medicine. I'm praying this works and I don't have to go for round 2. Thank u for the pictures since mine is still bandaged now I know what to expect.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pic! My wart is on my finger. After failed OTCs and one Try at Aldara I had my first beetle juice treatment 3 hours ago. No pain.... Yet. My dr mentioned. Blister but I had no idea what I signed up for! I just wanted her to cut the darn thing off as a woman it is so embarrassing !! I can't get manicures its just so ugly! I hope this works.
ReplyDeleteMy son had a wart in the palm of his hand. The beetle juice was applied on Monday July 23, 2012 and the wart dropped of by the follwing Tuesday July 31, 2012. It was a little tender to the touch the first night and after that he had no problems. It was a great experience for a 5 year old especially compared to getting it cut out...:)
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, thank you for replying about your five year old. My seven year old had warts attack both of his hands and they opted for this treatment without giving me any idea of what to expect. He has 8 beetle blisters on his poor little hands. We are on Day 2. He has had some pain but hopefully this will all happen as quick and painlessly as possible. Thank you, writer, for this post though. I am glad that I do know what to expect over the next week or so. Wowsa.
ReplyDeleteI am so grateful to see the pictures you posted to show the progression. Did you pop the blister? And did you keep a bandaid on it the entire time? I've looked up everything that came up on google and I can't find the answer to either of those.
ReplyDeleteAnnieMichaelMurphy...I did NOT wear a bandaid when I had the procedure done. You have to keep it covered for like 48-72 hours (I don't remember exactly) but after you take that covering off I kept it off. And no you are NOT to pop the blisters! Its extremely painful because of the pressure the blisters cause BUT thats part of the process.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I just don't want it to pop in my sock!!!
ReplyDeleteAnnieMichaelMurphy...Actually...you know I DID put a bandaid on it when I was in shoes and socks BUT every opportunity I got I was in flip flops. The blister might pop on its own...mine did after about 5-6 days...and fluid just kinda leaked out.
ReplyDeleteI had a treatment yesterday on the "mother" of all plantar warts. I have slight burning, inflammation and pain but after all, a blister is forming and the wart is on the center of the ball of my foot. Cantharidin is a combination of beetle venom, podophyllin and salicylic acid. Desired effect is blistering of the site/wart. Side effects are pain and burning. I hope your clinician advised you to wash off the treatment in about 6 hours after application as the treatment is not meant to stay on for days. Hopefully he/she protected the skin around the wart as well. Warts may recur due to reinfection, treatment failure or because once you are infected, the wart virus remains in your system. Hopefully you aren't diabetic nor have compromised peripheral circulation as the product is contraindicated in these circumstances. I will wait to see results and will avoid surgery due to the risk of more serious complications. Hope all is well with you now!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't able to wash my wart for a few days...so the treatment stayed on until I was allowed to take the bandage off!!! It was a tough treatment...will never do it again!
ReplyDeleteI had surgery to remove the wart a few months after this and now the wart is gone...have some scar tissue but its better than the wart.
I had 3 laser and Freeze treatments on 3 warts and 1 of the three went away. The other 2 have shrunk down to a minimal and the Doc recommended the beatle juice to give the final death blow. I'd say the laser and freezing is about identical to the juice in pain. The Laser is a quick zap like a rubberband snapping on you but a little bit more painful but instantly goes away. The freeze is alittle more painful than the laser but eventually numbs after so many freezes or at least you get use to the pain. The most painfull part of the process is when walking back to the car and for a few more hours of throbbing pain located at the spot. I wish they had just given me the beetle juice first. You walk away pain free and then in 4 hours you wash it off thoroughly and then the pain of the blister kicks in. My Doctor said it's ok to pop it using a sterile needle and rubbing alcohol and I truly believe in popping it to release the pressure because I think it will heal quicker when it dry's out. My wife prefers to leave the blister as it is but as those who've done this knows, the blister just keeps getting bigger. And yes it stings after relieving the pressure but the sting doesn't last long. I'm now 3 days into it and I've popped this blister twice from the side so to keep the protected skin on top rather than exposing the fresh skin from everything I touch. It seems to work for me so far. Hope this helps.
ReplyDeleteI have been working on a Plantar wart for over a year now. I have gone through 3 packs of OTC Freeze-away, exposing my wart to far more exposure than the package recommends. 3 doctor visits with freezing, and I've even tried dry-ice. Needless to say Freezing isn't going to cut it on this thing so today my doctor gave me the Beetle venom. It hurts so bad right now I can't think about anything but my poor foot. My doctor did say that I could pop the blister once it forms, leaving it doesn't accomplish anything. It's just dangerous to have an open blister if you don't keep the area clean.
ReplyDeletei had beetle juice on my foot on tuesday, the blister was so painful, couldn't really walk on it for 4 days, never again!!!!! i think i was better off with the wart!!! there has to be a better way! good luck everyone, someone should have warned us!!!
ReplyDeleteOOOOOHHHHH GOODNESS!!!!! Wish I would have run across this blog before yesterday :-) Same as you I've had some nasty ones. Initially he scraped and them, tore some cores out and I had to keep it covered for 2 weeks. At the follow up appt yesterday he put the beetle juice on. An hour and a half later, YIKES. I had handle a lot of pain, and I can handle the pain of the blisters....but there is NO way I can walk. They are right on the ball of my foot. Crutches for the office and I look like a goof at home trying to drag myself around. Thanks for sharing your story, I feel better knowing that this will all be over soon.
ReplyDeleteJust had beetle juice applied to a wart on the bottom of my foot & OMG feels like a torch is brining a hole through my foot. Wish I would have read this earlier. If this doesn't work I think I will be taken this wart with me to my grave. I'm done trying to kill it. After 2 yrs.
ReplyDeleteWow! The only thing that's making me feel better is that my misery is not alone. Lol... Its kinda helpful hearing that I'm not going to wake up with my foot detached from my leg that's how bad the pain has been from this procedure... Never Again.
ReplyDeleteI went to the doc yesterday after tring 5 months of OTC treatments. Told him I didn't care how much it hurt- so got both liquid nitrogen and beetle juice. Hurts like heck. Hope it works
ReplyDeleteI applied this beetle juice yesterday one huge wart on my middle finger and two smaller ones on my other finger.wow it really hurts.it is swollen white and red around it.and my finger is very hot to the touch.can we soak it in anything to ease up the pain? Any advice would help...thanks so much! O yean should I keep a bandaid on it or let it air dry?
ReplyDeleteI'm on my fourth application of it. The skin is so raw and today is the day after the application. Walking is pure agony. Next time they'll let me do the surgery.
ReplyDeletehad it applied to an ingrown toenail. It will kill the root of the nail and won't match the other one.
ReplyDeleteOh good GOD I am so glad I came across this! My 9 year old daughters nurse practitioner just told me to use it on this horrible virus called molluscum she has on her bottom! They are not painful or itchy, in fact she didn't even notice them I did when she walked past me from coming out of the shower (lol she covered the front of her but her tush was sticking out in back, and thank goodness it was) We think she got it from swim practice but I can't imagine how painful that treatment would be!! Thank you for posting this!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter just had this put on her planters wart, however, the podatrist said to only leave it on for 10 hours then wash it off with soap and water. Otherwise, it will cause too much damage to the surrounding tissue.

ReplyDeleteTry both feet at once. Blah.
ReplyDeleteMy son just got this treatment about 5 hours ago. There are different strengths too, so you have to consider that as well. He got the most diluted and I was told to wash it off after 6 hours and wash it twice a day. Then once the blister shows up and pops, I need to wrap it in duct tape at night to help draw the rest of the wart out. Doctor said it might hurt him once the 6 hours was up but so far, so good. I'm hoping for good results... I had surgery on a planters wart in high school and I REFUSE to let my son go through that.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen anyone yet say WHERE to get the blister beetle salve? I can't find it for sale anywhere on the internet. Anyone? Link?
ReplyDeleteYou have to buy it from a Canadian pharmacy.
DeleteI want my big toenail to grow back, I didn't have a serious ingrown toe. I was never told about my nail dying after he used beetle juice. It's been 5 mo. and it hurts. I am a senior and do not want to risk an infection like sepsis. I asked the Dr if my nail would grow back and he said I hope not. Nails are there to protect us from dirt and infection.
ReplyDeleteDo not do surgery it doesn't work. My podiatrist explained that plantar's warts are like benign tumours and feed off blood vessels. If you miss a cell when removing it - they come back. He says the ONLY thing that really works is the blister beetle stuff ... I've been battling one for eight years - NOTHING has worked completely. Yes it's painful but it works. Take anti inflammatory drugs and put honey on the foot for healing after soaking your foot in water 6 hours after the application to get the acid off. I'm on my third treatment - six weeks of this and who knew how deep the roots were on this? Omg! At least I know this will fix it permanently - what it has done already - even in one treatment - is staggering compared to everything else I've tried. DO NOT GET IT CUT OUT. My podiatrist even said that is not a good option.
ReplyDeleteI ended up getting mine cut out...and all is good now!!! Surgery and recovery was tough BUT it was worth it.
DeleteThank you all for these comments. I'm soaking my poor foot in cold water right now and that is really helping with the pain. As hopeless and painful as waking has been, I'm thinking that maybe this was the right treatment to go with. My podiatrist said he wouldn't do an excision on his own family and that after 15 years in the field, this treatment is the most effective. He also gave me some great advice: let go of all the frustration from failed past treatments, it will only hinder the healing process now.
ReplyDeleteI have had the treatment four times and it hurts like a mother load dont do it do the bleo its a quick shot and it worked
ReplyDeleteI wish my podiatrist would've warned me of the pain. He was like oh it'll be uncomfortable. Umm day 3 and I still can't walk right. And he wants to do it again in 2 weeks. He's Cray Cray!!! Ain't gonna happen!!!!--Myra
ReplyDeleteI just read an article about an anti-biotic for plantar warts. It is called "Bleomycin".
ReplyDeleteI would suggest you have your Dr. inject it intravenous to reach the capillaries that supply blood to the wart. I've had recurring plantar warts on the underside of my toes on both feet. I use salicylic acid both 17% and 40%, freezing with nitrogen at the Dr's office and have heard about Beetle juice and surgery. I am asking my Dr. for bleomycin but so far he recommends continuing with salicylic. I soak in Epsom salts and apply salicylic daily - I am tired of dealing with these things - they are horrible.
zuumjr@yahoo.com - if you would like to ask any questions.
I had the beetle juice done on Monday, December 2nd and it has been one of the worse experiences of my life! The blister was so huge they had to lance it and I lost all the skin under it, it has wound packing and I still can't walk 5 days later! It is pure torture!!! DON'T DO IT!
ReplyDeleteI got this done but the podiatrist told me 24hrs then pop it and cut the blister off. I had to treat it like an open wound with peroxide and antibiotic ointment. My follow up is tomorrow. Granted I had it worked down to the blood vessels using compound w.
ReplyDeleteOMG. I googled beetle juice and found your blog!. Had it done today after months of weekly, very strong salicylic applications at the foot doctor. Thanks for the pictures as a heads-up. Reading the comments, I realized that I forgot to put antibiotic ointment on after I washed the beetle juice off. Doc instructed me to wash the beetle juice off after 5 hours, then put a Band-Aid on it. I can pop the blister with a sterilized pin, if I wish. I guess that's when to apply the ointment. I really hope this works! Thanks for sharing your experience. V.
ReplyDeleteI've had the blister beetle juice and so has my daughter, who is 7. Both of us were told by different doctors to wash it off with soap and water 1 hour after treatment. We went for multiple treatments but the wart went away and the beetle juice didn't even cause a blister. I would completely recommend the treatment. The key might be to wash it off?
ReplyDeleteIt sounds as though your doctor didn't know how to properly use the Blister Beetle Venom. My 11 year old son has a cluster or 9 plantars warts on his heel. After 2 freezings the doctor decided to use the Blister Beetle Venom. He indicated to me that even though the skin on the heel is the thickest on the body, it was very important that we wash the venom off after 4 hours. It was SO important that we not forget to wash it off that he wrote directly on the bandage in large print "8:00p.m." in black sharpie as a reminder. We were to run the area under a strong stream of water from the bathtub faucet for at least 2 minutes. He had this treatment done 2 days ago and has had no pain, he is able to walk with no difficulty and has been playing volleyball in gym class. I appreciate your wanting to warn others of your experience, but warning them to avoid this treatment based on your experience isn't quite fair. Warning them to make their own decision after having researched the proper use & procedure would be more appropriate. Warning them to not use your doctor, or any other doctor who isn't using the venom properly would be appropriate as well. There is no reason any of you should have suffered the way that you did, it sounds awful. But your doctors should have advised you to WASH THE VENOM OFF!!! Used properly this treatment may be an alternative to surgery... who wouldn't want that!
ReplyDeleteI agree! My youngest had no problems. We washed his off after 6 hours and kept it clean. I now have a wart and nothing worked. I actually went to my sons Dr and asked for the beetle juice.
DeleteDon't let this scare you off. My son had this treatment and it went BEAUTIFULLY! I agree, it needs to be washed off. Your doctor should have never had you keep it on that long!
ReplyDeleteI've got my beetle venom treatment done yesterday and doctor said to wash it off after 3 days... so is that too long? He put on 5 warts on my feet and it hurts so bad right now... :-(
ReplyDeleteThis is a little late now but go with what your doctor instructs. Every doctor is different, but following their way.
DeleteOmg. This hurts sooo bad! I can barely walk. I have 16 on my foot and got the beetlejuice put on today. What do I do to stop the pain. I'll do anything!!
ReplyDeleteLet it run its course. Sorry....not what you want to hear though. Hope it works for you though...I ended up having to get mine surgically removed!!
DeleteI recently got my 2nd treatment of the beetlejuice & i must say i did not experience any pain what so ever, Im thinking because my wart is on top of my foot covers pretty much my whole 2nd tow, & yes i have it for as long as i can remember tried everything! & the beetlejuice plus the acid cream i was provided w/ to put on everynight was the only thing that has been working. The top layers are gone but this thing is so stubborn it always grows back if im not consistant w/ the treat ment hopefully i will finally be able to feel comfortable enough to wear sandals this summer :)
ReplyDeleteI was also instructed & reminded to wash it 6hrs after i got the medicine on my tow
DeleteThis is my third time being treated with Beetle Juice. Every time it has worked, but it IS painful to go through. Yes, the initial application feels like nothing. But rounding that "wash it off" 4-6th hour time, it's very painful. This pain usually remains for 1 -2 weeks until the blister falls off or the doctor removes it. This IS the only real cure for these darn Plantars Warts, which is why I agree to the Beetle Juice method when I get one. As far as antibiotic creams, my doctor said absolutely not, unless an infection occurs upon his exam-this has never happened to me. I'm on crutches now for the 2 week duration, but at least I know there will be a happy ending!
ReplyDeleteI'm on my second round and it's worse this time. My dermatologist said she used the beetlejuice "plus" this time. I left it on 6 hours then washed it off. I was at work and nearly panicked when I got home and saw my foot. Not only was I in worse pain than before but my entire foot was swollen!!! I had to ice it and finally break down and use the sterile needles she gave me to drain it. I have since drained it twice and I still can't walk on it. I have three kids and can't really stay off my feet. It is all I think about. The pain is not subsiding and mine looks like a deflated blood blister. I'm so worried it's infected or will be. My derm said due to pregnancy and breastfeeding my immune system is pretty down and is why I can't get rid of the wart.
ReplyDeleteMy 9yearbold daughter is on her 3rd round of beetle juice treatment on her hands...this is the 2nd on her right hand ....she had about 30+ warts on each hand mostly on her palms and around her nails....oh it hurts but she's a tough one..,some have been cut off at the same time...yes both choices work and both hurt but I think she prefers the beetle juice...she was told to wash her hands after 30 min to 1 hour....first time she had it done she accidentally touched her face before she had a chance to wash her hands and her face had a blister but no pain...now they just put a rubber glove on her...if a 9 yr old and deal with the pain of having 30+ done on her hand I would think anyone could handle having it done
ReplyDeleteI had a terrible wart on the inner tip of my index finger for 2 YEARS. I went through 6+ treatments/removal before we tried the beetle juice. It was a game changer. Totally worth the discomfort.
ReplyDeleteI have been having several planter's warts treated on my feet by a dermatologist PA. So far, 4 out of 8 have been removed, using a combination of cryotherapy and a prescribed medicine from a Canadian pharmacy that contains salicytic acid and kills the skin cells; I have seen her 3 or 4 times. The pain has been extraordinary and there have been many days that I cannot walk. I have about had it. Friday, I saw my PA again and explained that I was going on vacation on Tuesday to New York City and would need to walk, so I requested no cryotherapy. Instead, she cut away the dead skin and then put the beetle juice on my foot and my daughter's, who is 5 and also has a wart. There was no mention of washing it off at all, nor any mention of prolonged or severe pain. When I asked about the stinging I felt as I walked out, she said it might sting for a few hours, which is a vast understatement of the pain involved. I actually soaked my feet in cool water that night because they hurt so much, but did not use soap. My daughter experienced some pain the next day but it has now resolved; she now has a blister but walks normally. But I absolutely cannot walk and am still in extreme pain. The blisters are large and I can't drain them. One is blue/purple and appears filled with blood. Are they infected? Is there anything I can do to help the pain? I feel very upset at my PA, and feel like it was medically irresponsible to apply that beetle venom to my foot given my explained impending vacation (and also maybe to not mention washing it off at all?), and worry that I will now have to cancel my family vacation to NYC. It is now Saturday night and I fly Tuesday all day, and will need to walk on Wednesday. I am wondering if I should not go back to that medical practitioner? I feel like it should not have to hurt this much. Will I be able to walk comfortably on Wednesday, or will I have to cancel my vacation? Should I call a different doctor, like a podiatrist on Monday? I would never get this treatment again. It is possible that I am having a particularly strong reaction to it although I am otherwise very healthy.
ReplyDeleteI just had beetle poison/juice applied this morning. My doctor said to keep the bandaid on for 24 hours, and after that there is no care necessary. He said of the blister is tolerable, leave it, otherwise you can carefully pop it with a sterilized needle to get the liquid out. I had done different treatments before, and was so tired of this little evil plantar wart! Yes it did hurt like CRAZY. but as my doctor suggested, I took Tylenol and elevated my foot. I'm 10 hours into the treatment and thankfully the pain and burning has stopped. (I know this is temporarily). I was pretty aware of what was getting myself into. ELEVATION AND PAIN KILLERS HELP A LOT. Plus since I'll be wearing flip flops for the next few days, I painted my nails without hurting the wart/blister :D anyways good luck everyone, especially the little ones with many warts.
ReplyDeleteWow! This post got lots of comments. Thanks for the pics, I too just had the beetle juice put on yesterday. It friggen hurts, but it's about the same pain as the unsuccessful freezing and scraping. My husband just saw the pictures and almost died. Looking forward to that in a couple of days. YUCK! Plantar warts suck.
ReplyDeleteYears ago I had surgery to remove a wart from my big toe. This also made me lose some feeling in my toe. If I'd have known about cantharidin back then, I'd have definitely chosen it over surgery.
ReplyDeleteI had a second treatment today of the beatle venom. Which is what it is. It is uncomfortable, but its working great. When he scraped the wart off my foot looked normal. My podiatrist said 3-4 treatments. I am walking fine, took 2 alevee and it did the trick. The podiatrist said that there is NO Guarentee that surgery will work!!!! so keep that in mind. I was told after 9 hrs to clean the area, use neosporin and plac a band aid on it. Yes its uncortable, yes there is some mild pain, but my foot feels soooo much better.
ReplyDeleteHaving lived with a most persistent case of genital warts for 16 years, and trying all types of treatment, cryo, acid, Aldara, and various otc treatments, multiple times and still they persisted, I was pleased to hear a new dermatologist suggest a new treatment: Blister Beetle Juice.
ReplyDeleteLike I said, 16 years of persistent warts. Taking myself out of the intimate relationship pool. One treatment and three weeks later, the warts are gone, and all the scary looking blisters and wounds of the beetle juice are well-healed.
This is a life changer! Thank you for Blister Beetles!!!
Just had the beetle juice put on a plantar wart on the bottom of my foot today. After a few hours it was throbbing and so painful I still can't walk on it. It feels like I was burned. I'm really hoping it gets better quickly and the wart does not return bc I don't think I would do it again!
ReplyDeleteHi my daughter used the Canthardin (beetle juice) for a wart on the bottom of her foot and one on her finger. We were instructed to wash it off after 4 hours. She had blisters in both locations that didn't seem to hurt her. She was able to walk without much pain. I started to research warts and found a few studies that show that people who have warts are more likely to be deficient in Zinc. She also has these white spots on all of her finger nails which can also happen when there is a Zinc deficiency. So now I am giving her Zinc gluconate by an oral spray. I make sure only to give it when she has eaten as otherwise more likely to have nausea. It will take a few months( 4 - 6) to see if this is helpful. I will write back and update this then.
ReplyDeleteI had my dermatologist's Physician's Assistant apply this to a plantar wart on the instep of my right foot two days ago. It blistered up nicely and is painful to the touch and impact pressure when I walk. But three previous cryotherapy treatments have done nothing over the last 18 months to cure it and it is painful when I hike and golf. Freezing is difficult where there's a thick callus. I'll be glad when it's gone. BTW: I was instructed to wash it off with soapy water at four hours from application; earlier if it became painful. I washed it off at about four hours and the blister is still huge. I'll be glad when it's gone!
ReplyDeleteIf you use this product on the bottom of your feet, you wont be able to walk for a week +
ReplyDeleteAnywhere else is tolerable and less painful. You size and weight will also contribute to this pain.
If you don't have a week off to sit a home and watch tv with your foot up, you don't want to try this treatment. As well, don't be too ambitious and try and get more than 1 foot done at a time.
This will get rid of those permanent warts that never go away, this will work. Its just on the bottom of your feet it will send you to hell and back.
Plan ahead, schedule the time off work, take care of your business and family and enjoy your week off.
2 days ago I had the beetle juice application put on the "mother ship" plus 2 more on the bottom, 1 on the corner of my big toe nail AND 1 between 2 toes... At first I thought he didn't put enough on because there wasn't any pain. During the night my foot was throbbing, swollen and VERY tender to the touch. Never was told to wash it off... I could remove the duct tape bandage the next day. I was also told to use a sterile needle to pop the blister to relieve some of the pressure. Also to use some Neosporin with lidacain for the pain. This hurts soooo BAD! I keep hoping it's worth the pain. Not sure if I would do it again if it doesn't work...
ReplyDelete
