The other day a friend of mine in my BSB Mommy Group posted in our group page on facebook about how it’s a funky time of year…we all have so much going on BUT reminiscing back to this time 3 years ago…we were all about to be mommies and oh life was so different. Everyone one of us were pregnant awaiting the big day when our unborn children would grant us with their blissful presence. Oh the fear of the unknown of labor, breast feeding, baby care…I was terrified!! haha But now we are all happy to see our little babies growing up…healthy and happy BUT at the same time its seriously depressing watching your BABY grow up! I know all of you moms whose “babies” are in their 20’s or what not think I’m being silly but its truly makes me sad. I love every stage, watching my Owen grow but its so sad for me as well!!
Life was so different back when I was pregnant…I feel that 3 years ago was seriously a LIFE time ago….but at the same time I feel like Owen is still just brand new…haha I know…probably kinda hard to understand. He’s still the MAIN ATTRACTION in the Souza/Gallagher households, that’s forsure!
So of course I went back into our pictures…what were we doing this day 3 years ago….Ohhhh yess…I remember…I was GINORMOUSLY pregnant! haha I had just bought some new maternity clothes…since I had 3 weeks left of my pregnancy and the weather was getting warmer. I was PUMPED to wear my maternity shorts and capris that I found at The Mommy Store in Norco (a consignment store) for $9.
…and that creature in my belly was lopsided!! hahaha. Little did I know “it” would be making “its” appearance a few days later, ruining my chances of getting to wear my new maternity apparel. haha
Yes my belly was HUGE but man…so were my FEET/CANKLES!! I was literally about to POP, everywhere!
On March 31st 2009 we were thrown another amazing baby shower…we had 3 total…so blessed to have so many people in our lives that love us and loved our lil unborn baby. But the Mustangs Aquatics Program threw us a shower…it was awesome.
Its cute to see some of the kids in the photo’s as well…some we still see and talk to on a regular basis…and some we miss dearly around the pool deck! But Thanks ERHS Aquatics , athletes and parents, for always being wonderful to us!
So I look back and truly miss being pregnant. Can only pray that God will grant us with the opportunity to add on to this family now that I’m 2 years cancer free…guess we’ll have to wait and see. My best friend, Erika, living in Washington, is 40 weeks pregnant on Monday…with her first son, Charlie…I’m so excited for her to get that baby out ANY FREAKIN’ MINUTE now! Waiting on the call, saying her waters broke and shes in labor (but I think Charlie has a different idea…and its called he wants to stay in mama for another while!)…praying God helps her through labor and it’s a nice quick delivery and recovery….Sooooo OH CHARLIE…come on out….time to PLAY with Auntie Erin!
