Yes…we got a real tree this year. And yes…we got it too early (poor thing was ppprreeetttyyy dead by Christmas)
Being at the magical Home Depot picking out an over-priced tree is a tradition…haha. This year was different though…Owen was a big boy. No crying about the smell of tree’s or it being cold. He was trying to help Yosh find a tree, while Ella found a string on the ground and wouldn’t stop twirling until she fell. Maggie just yelled at every tree saying “oh wow”. haha Oh how times have changed.
First time in my life that we bought a tree, brought it home and then left it a few days before decorating it. Energy levels, emotions, motivation kept us from getting sh*t done. But…we did it eventually!
It was eventful. I just sat back and took pictures. One kid was bossy bossy, one kid decorated UNDER the tree very well and one kid liked breaking sh*t. I’m sure you can guess who was who.
Ella loved decorating! She was the one that stuck it out the WHOLE time. I was impressed with her attention span! She wanted to make sure EVERY single part of the tree was decorated! lol
Owen got the star this year…because we thought Ella did it last year….
Poor Ella. Owen got it 2 years in a row!! oops.
