The holiday season is a time when getting together with friends is done! I love it. We usually have a few xmas parties to attend and its always so fun.
This year one of my dearest, oldest friends invited me to go to KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas concert, Night 1 as her date. It was SO much fun. Saw some amazing bands and brought us both back reminiscing about our past.
Some of my favs were The Strumbella’s, X Ambassadors, AFI, Jimmy Eat World, Kings of Leon and Blink 182.
Don’t you hate when you have someone take a pic for you and they cut off your feet…ugh. Annoying.
A few weeks later we had our annual work holiday party. Its usually at the Mission Inn…but this year our school decided to go with Eagle Glen Golf Course. It felt very weddingish. We had a sit-down dinner, drinks, dancing, photobooth, more drinks, more dancing…yeah it was a good time!! I love getting to chat with colleagues that you hardly see…or the ones who are so professional at work and then they get a few drinks into them and become hilarious. lol Love it.
I laughed when I looked through my pics from the night…most of my selfies are with my co-workers wives…lol don’t need to chat or worry about the men! haha Except one of my closest colleagues…she showed up to the party looking hotter than I have ever see her…Lia blew my mind!!! Love seeing her with a smile!!
And oddly enough the DJ was very familiar to me…I couldn’t put my finger on it BUT of course I started chatting with him and soon realized he was in a band called Freakdaddy. I told him I used to go to his concerts a good bit in high school, and even once ended back at a house with him and his bandmates...long time ago! But crazy Small World.
Our last holiday party was Christmas Bunco at the Gerke’s. Its co-ed bunco and boy its a good time. Playing with all women is COMPLETELY different than when you bring in a few drunk husbands! It was a great time, I won $40 for most buncos and the only pictures I had on my phone were of me with the bunco hat on, Matt with the bunco hat on and Kerri stealing one of the house decorations. haha
Love holiday parties…well I love them with my mother is in the country and I can go out, relax and have her watch the crew of children! lol
I will say though…I did miss the Brown’s Sometimes-Annual Christmas Cocktail party. Thats always a fun night too…maybe next year huh Brownies?
