I can’t believe that my first born is S-I-X years old!!
I couldn’t even imagine this day back then…I had no clue what was in store for me as HIS mother.
When I speak to other people about my son I sometimes find it hard to put into words my feelings for and about him. He was THE BEST baby ever. Always happy, easily entertained and just the best. I joke that God gave me such a great baby since he gave me cancer! It was a trade off. And I’d take it…give me all the bad stuff to spare my children anyday!! haha But for whatever the reason we were given a great little guy!! We are blessed to call him ours!
He went from a great Baby…to an even better toddler and kid…
….and now into such a kind young boy!!
I love how he is such a kind, gentle, sweet, caring human being! He is patient, helpful and smart. Yeah his appetite still sucks BUT I know he’ll grow to love food like the rest of us! Watching him grow and develop into his own person this year in kindergarten has been tough but wonderful to watch. He has had to realize that not everyone is like him, not everyone is nice or friendly…but he tells me he still wishes that all kids could be more friendly! Maybe someday he’ll grow up to save the world….or animals from what he says but either way I’m very proud that Owen is who he is!!
We went to Legoland for his birthday…he opted for that instead of a party! But on his actual birthday we HAD to do SOMETHING. So we got ready for the Easter Bunny, dyed our eggs and played in the pool with some friends. It ended up being a very relaxed, yet GREAT day!
Started the day by opening presents from Mom and Dad…we finally did GOOD. He got some Skylander Trap he needed, 3DS, games and some Minecraft Books that he wanted.
Then we headed out for some fun in the pool. (We had some fun trying to use the GoPro camera under water!…still need some practice)
And we dyed some eggs. Its messy and annoying BUT you gotta do what you gotta do!! All for the children…right?!?
We made Owen a donut cake…sang him happy birthday and let the kids eat donuts for dinner!! He loved it! haha
