Yosh is officially entered into the “late 30s”. He turned 37 this week and I don’t think he minded until recently him and Owen had this conversation…
Owen: “Dad…whats after 37? 38?”
Yosh: “Yep”
Owen: “Then is 39?”
Yosh: “Sure is!”
Owen: “Then what Dad….40???”
Yosh: “Oh Jesus I’m almost 40!”
Lucky for Yosh he doesn’t look a day over 25!! Heck during this Laughlin trip actually he was carded multiple times! He’s got a babyface.
Since Daddy is still on his no-sugar kick we couldn’t do a dounut run for him SO we got him a breakfast burrito instead.
Wakey wakey Daddy. We sang Happy Birthday and then Ella was ready for some of daddy’s breakfast!
We lounged around all day. But then Aunt Missy & Peyton came over to babysit while I brought Yosh to the Rose Bowl to see the LA Galaxy vs. Manchester United soccer game.
Last time we saw the LA Galaxy was in 2008…with friends from Ireland…it was such a fun night. I ran around the stadium looking to buy a David Beckham shirt…so glad I got it! lol I found that bad boy hiding in my closet…I ain’t gonna lay…I crossed my fingers it would still fit…
The traffic getting there was kinda crazy. It cost $30 to park…and that was general parking!! Which was out on a golf course and was a good walk from the stadium. BUT I have to say…parking on grass was cool. Made our little tailgating pretty comfy!
Speaking of tailgating…talk about a different atmosphere. It wasn’t like the Angels parking lots (which tailgating is NOT allowed even though everyday does it!), no drunken idiots…it was a nice family environment! Families pulling out blankets and eating their dinners together. I loved it!
Once we got into the stadium the tickets were poorly marked with which gate to enter. When I purchased the tickets online they were general admission and gave me a section, row and seat numbers! Upon arrival we were told that it was seat yourself. SONOFABITCH! It was PACKED! But we lucked out got some great seats!
ManU was ultimately the better team. It was great to see the big shots play and the atmosphere at soccer games are fun!
But after 70 minutes of the game we thought it might be a good idea to leave so we weren’t stuck in hours of traffic. Worked…partially…about 20 of the 50THOUSANDS fans at the same idea as us. haha
So another year down. Happy Birthday Babe! 37 ain’t that old….you aren’t 40 yet! heehee. Love You.
