Since we celebrated Owen on Saturday, we had to hustle around this place and make sure our ducks were in a row for Easter Sunday. Baskets had to be assembled a bit early, eggs had to be dyed and the plastic eggs had to be filled (oops…forgot about that part until 10pm the night before).
And our Egg Dying this year wasn’t too exciting. Owen wasn’t interested much…so Mommy basically dyed the eggs and he decorated with stickers. I’m sure he’ll be into it a bit more when he’s a tad older…hopefully!
The night before Easter Owen was a tired tired boy. He had bounced for 6 hours straight in his jumper at his party and was so OVER tired that evening. We left out carrots for the Easter Bunny and then got ready to head upstairs for bed. I wanted Owen to go back into the front room where we left the carrots so I could snap a quick pic but he went nuts…he was terrified that if we didn’t get upstairs quick enough the bunny would appear. I felt so bad for him. So no cute picture with Owen and the bunny treats this year! haha.
But by morning he was in good form. And loved his egg trail, hunt and basket.
Baby Sister was asleep…and this is the year that its TOTALLY fine that she missed all this. Next year Owen will have some competition for the egg hunt though!
We headed to Nana and Granda’s for dinner with our usual peeps. Nice and mellow.
Owen and Daddy’s annual Easter picture….
The “shoulder picture” is a tradition now…
Owen is getting so big, has grown so much the past few months…I’m gonna start feeling bad for Daddy in a few years trying to get him on his shoulder…image when Owen’s 15! haha
And of course Daddy wanted to start the tradition with Ella…
Our Easter was wonderful…looking through pictures I noticed I didn’t get very many pictures…not even ONE of my parents from the day! I need to keep a mental note and continue taking pictures…if only I could find a way to do it WHILE holding a baby!! haha
