After we celebrated with a little party the Saturday before Owen’s birthday we thought for his ACTUAL birthDAY we’d bring him to one of his favorite places…Sea World. We love Sea World…especially because they are AWESOME and give educators free annual passes! Times like this it pays to be married to a teacher! lol So it was Owen’s day…and it started with a surprise from Mommy and Daddy…
He didn’t exactly ASK for a bike…or probably didn’t even WANT one BUT we knew that it was time to get him one. It was a little rough that morning, he was disappointment it wasn’t an Angry Birds present…but we had to have the talk of being grateful for presents and stuff…which is kinda hard for our spoiled ass four year old! He was a little hesitant at first but seems to be liking it more and more everyday. Actually today he told me that soon when he’s bigger daddy is going to take the 2 little wheels off for him.
Away we went to Sea World…doing ONLY what Owen wanted to do that day. Was a lovely day…and Nana came along too…I think half the time she was more excited than our Owen was. (Nana LOVES water animals too!)
Yes Owen is pouting here…I’m the evil Mom that makes my child stand for a picture…even when he doesn’t want to! haha
And when we saw Shamu I thought Bernie was gonna pee herself with excitement…it was so cute! lol The Shamu show is over-rated…I think watching them from here is better than the show!!
We ended our day at the Pets Rule show (the ONLY show Owen would see…all the others are too loud and we all know he’s NOT a fan of loud noises). We got there early, had our churro and Owen was excited to see the dogs do tricks….UNTIL the man on the microphone came out. Its weird because Owen has been to the Pets Rule show a good few times…for the past 2 summers! But its like he didn’t remember it AND so the ear covering/anxiety kicked in as the show started. breaks my heart to see him upset. But he sat through the show…watched it while covering his ears and then was fine again afterward!
Was a successful day…Owen crashed on the way home…and Ella started screaming. Yeah…NOT fun. Having to get off the freeway to calm her down (which took an hour, Thank God for ipads and Carls Jr to keep Owen entertained)…she had gotten herself so worked up she threw up on herself. Wasn’t pretty! But got home and Owen has talked about Sea World since! I love making the boy happy…
