Camping can be tiring. The prepping, loading, unloading, setting up, THEN the camping part isn’t always easy too. BUT I have to say…damn my kids LOVE to camp. They are getting older now and the locations, people and other things are starting to sway whether they love the camping trip or not. Its hard to compare to the KOA Halloween trip BUT my kids also love Rancho Jurupa for Veterans Weekend and our friendsgiving feast.
Sometimes I hate the idea of doing all the hard work to drive 20 minutes away and camp….BUT sometimes its great to be so close to home and life…and it makes camping more manageable.
Yes…I will play twinsies with these girls for however long they let me!
Maggie makes me laugh so hard sometimes…shes getting to the age where she asks me to take her picture…I FREAKIN love it. But she was ready for our bike ride to the park! And I love seeing Maggie wear Ella’s clothes. And this sweatshirt Ella wore…on the same camping trip 2 years prior…
Having parks close by means kids get to spend LOTS of time at the parks with different moms! haha
One of my closest friends all throughout high school and college is a busy girl. Shes schooling and working and dating…and I’m moming, working and our paths are just harder and harder to cross these days. So it was super cool that she came out and brought the bf so I could meet him!
Daddy stepped up the kid game this trip too…brought the projector, screen and set up movie time for the kids!
This veterans day camping group has been going for a good few years now. Its fun to get together for a fried turkey buffet potluck dinner.
Two years ago…same camping trip it was Maggie’s first camping experience…
And now two years later…its a little different (and easier!)
Excited for next year!!
