Spring Break Part 1–#souzascampingfun

Our spring break was early this year. I hate when it lands in March.  BUT I’ll take it whenever I get it. Can’t complain.  I planned on us going camping in Huntington Beach a few months ago…we ended up jam packing our break with stuff to do BUT thats ok. It was great.

We headed out Monday. We arrived and thought the weather was great…until about an hour later and the wind started. It was GUSTY wind.

Beautiful view. I love this campground. Sunset Vista is great. Parking lot beach camping…with space. Usually those sites are TIGHT on space. Not these…and I love that.

And when the wind kicked in we hung out in our trailer…which was actually kinda nice.  When camping we usually don’t get to spend a whole lot of time inside…we keep ourselves busy outside. So being in, was sorta cool.

By evening time the wind died down…so we were able to get a fire going. Which makes camping great!

We woke to the perfect day at the beach!! Sun was out. Wind was gone…oh it was beautiful!

The kids were DYING to get to the beach.  So we walked down.  And I quickly realized that Maggie HATES…I mean HATES the sand..and beach water haha.  She was NOT having any of it.

Daddy tried dipping her toes in…yeah…NOPE. haha

She was fine…if on a towel away from the sand.  Boy oh boy do I hope that she learns to love it like her brother and sister…we LOVE going to the beach.  She’ll be unhappy for quite a while lol

After the beach our friends daughter started not feeling well…little did we know then that it was the start of the Manley Flu!  Their littlest was the first victim before coming to the beach…and then they started dropping like flies…

The campsites were SUPER close to the pier. So it was nice being so close to downtown Huntington. Lots of fun stuff to see and do!

Exploring with this girl…she cracks me up!!! And I love when she asks me to take pictures of her!! Why of course my little lady…one of my favorite things to do!

That evening we headed to Ruby’s on the Pier for dinner!!  Deanna stayed back with KK and Rhett…and her parents were heading out to pick KK up since she still wasn’t feeling well.

In the middle of dinner Joel and Wyatt started not feeling well.  Yeah…that was the beginning of the end.  The puking started a few hours later. ANd didn’t stop for a few days!!! Yeah.  I’m thinking it will be a VERY memorable trip for them…since they all got SO sick.

Few minutes after this game of washers…Wyatt started puking. Deanna decided to bring Wyatt and Rhett home…which ended up being BAD because he puked in the car! Poor D.
Joel stayed…and ended up puking so intensely that I seriously thought he was being thrown around his trailer. It was nice. Kept having Yosh check up on him.

Just Mr. and Mrs. Souza at the fire tonight. It was nice.

Next morning we were packing up. Had our tax appt to get to…then pack and get ready for the 2nd half of our spring break.
Brought the kids on a bike ride on the boardwalk. AND FYI…its dangerous…people are on SERIOUS walks and bike rides down there…and my kids were like chickens who cross the road! haha

And I LOVE this pic… especially when I see the difference a year and a half make!
