We had ZERO plans for Labor Day weekend. No camping, no parties, nothing. And I have to say…it was kinda nice to just play it by ear and hang locally with our friends and family.
It was a HOT HOT weekend! We went to the Drive-In with our big kids (everyone minus Maggie)…and even after the sun went down it was still like 100 degrees. It was pretty miserable! haha
It didn’t stay that empty. We just got there pretty early, since last time we tried the drive in we showed up to late and there were no parking spots. So we got there and all set up pretty early.
Then on Sunday we went to Yosh’s sisters house and had a pool day. Nice and mellow. It was weird nasty weather too. It was HOT HOT HOT but cloudy and actually looked like it was going to rain the whole day. Thank God for pools.
On actual Labor Day…the Monday…we chilled at home in our own pool! Ate MORE popsicles and enjoyed our last office day of summer. I told Ella she had to say good bye to Peggy the Pegasus
I love when they can play and I can….sip and relax! lol
And an easy picnic lunch. Maggie is so funny. She has the exact same thing in her lunch and I kept catching her steal from poor Ella’s.
Labor day was easy. Last weekend of “summer”…but its really not here. We go back to school early August, and our weather stays hot for another month at least. ugh.
