When I found out I was having a girl with my second pregnancy…which was 3 years ago this month…
…I started immediately daydreaming about all the fun girly things we’d get to do together in the future. Having a boy is amazing BUT a girl is so much more! I could only hope she was girly and liked all things princess, barbie, dolls, make-up, etc. and LUCKILY we hit the lotto with Ella. This girl LOVES her girly stuff. She loves make-up, twirling in princess dresses and wearing sparkly shoes, pushing her babies in strollers…the list could go on and on! I just LOVE it all. I was a super tom-boy as a kid…more athletic than most boys BUT I loved my barbies and dolls!! I have a huge rubbermaid tub that I’m just waiting to hand down to my little beast of a daughter…but its too soon…I don’t want her to get her hands on them yet.
But we were getting some maternity pictures done and wanted Ella to get her first nail salon experience for it…it was the cutest thing ever!
She picked her color (with my help of course!) and sat down like it was her 50th time there. She’s so confident…I just love it.
She sat so still and just watched the lady work. She asked her questions like “what your name?” and “why your eyes green?” Once they started my nails I had them do her toe nails as well…just to keep her busy and quiet while I was finishing up.
I look over at her and see her like this….
Boy do I wish I was able to relax like her!! (No she wasn’t asleep…just completely RELAXED!). What 2.5 year old can do this???
So this is just the beginning…and I love it!! Nails, Hair, Shopping…Gosh her Nana will be SO proud!
