Rain!

Its kinda sad that 2 days of rain here in So Cal is deserving enough of a blog post….but IT FREAKING RAINED!  YAY!

We get rain like 10 days a year….its depressing. Which some probably think is crazy BUT too much sun can be so draining too.  Don’t get me wrong…I love the sun and the heat and being in wonderful sunny southern california…but having some rain is sooooo nice too.

We had rain for almost 2 days straight. When Owen started asking if he could play outside with his umbrella my first reaction was “NO!”.  But my inner “fun mom” came out…why not. Bundle them up, let them play and then give them early baths to warm them up!  I couldn’t believe I had talked myself into letting them do it. 
Ella has only seen rain a handful of times so she was so excited to wear her rain boots and play outside in the water. And of course Owen was pumped too.

Owen got the idea of TRYING to stay dry. Yeah…Ella not so much! She walked around holding her umbrella by her side and getting soaked! She followed Owen around everywhere. He went to explore, she was his little drenched shadow…it was fun to watch (nice and dry from the garage)!

 

 

And the rain brought out the worms….and Owen was stoked. Ella and I…not so much!

Back to reality today…suns back out, shorts back on!  Goodbye Winter.  Sad face.
