Our second stop was after a day at sea…and for us it was a day that we were kinda “under the weather” (aka hungover). ha.
But we got off the boat excited to see some “real” islands…since Cococay was a private island we didn’t get to see the “real” stuff. I’m not even really sure what we were looking for haha especially since we didn’t really find it!
Off the boat we were in search of something to do before our excursion…Sean was on a MISSION to see some island life…
But the first thing we came to was a white guy giving free vodka samples. YummY!
We soon realized that we didn’t have enough time to do much before our excursion (which made Sean a lil irritated)…so we headed to Senor Frogs…which is a TOTAL tourist thing BUT we got some food (and paid a lot of darn money for it!)
We filled the bellies…then headed back to the pier as we waited for our first excurison
We boarded another small boat for a day of snorkeling, drinking and beach “rendezvous”…
All our underwater pictures are still not developed (so check back in a few weeks to see some more pictures after I add them here!)…but we did get to see some sea turtles and cool fish…BUT I think our snorkeling in Hawaii was WAY better! But after about an hour snorkeling they brought us to a “secret” beach…called Honeymooners Beach. They told us that NO ONE really knew about the beach so we had it to ourselves…”but Sandy’s Shack will make you some food if you want…the buffet isn’t for us…and don’t mind those bikers back there” haha So much for “secret and secluded beach”. But again Kyla and I laid and read…while the boys drank and socialized!
Everyone was a little intoxicated from this excursion…which made for an interesting walk back to the pier…between Yosh arguing with security to put his shirt on (which we later found out its illegal to bare your chest if you are a man in St. Thomas! crazy huh?!?) and Kyla’s “dancing” down the hallways…haha Oh good times.
I’d love to go back to St. Thomas…I learned that its considered U.S. territory so we were able to use our cell phones to call home…but I feel like there was so much more to see if we just had some more time!
