Mommy’s Gone Wild!!

I wrote this post during the week but forgot to post it…so it’s a little late…sorry!

Last Saturday night (September 10th) we got to get out, child-free, with some friends whom we haven’t gotten to spend time with all summer! It was a surprise dinner gathering for Delany’s 30something birthday! It was great to get together with old friends….some I haven’t seen since FoHi days!!!

Dinner at Logan's Roadhouse was followed with some drinks at McAlan’s Bar in Rancho. We had a lot of fun…hanging with friends and getting some dancing in. You know this girl loves to dance…so I was on the dance floor MOST of the night! It was great!

But I think this Mommy had TOO much fun dancing/zumbaing/whatever on the dance floor. It was super crowded…and lets just say I had a “bit” to drink. Delany brought me out on the dance floor, as I was trying to escape Yosh since he had been trying to get me off the dance floor and go home for about 15 minutes….and I just wasn’t ready to end my night (BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!) I don’t recall the groovy move I was attempting BUT down I went…my foot just POPPED and gave out! I knew it was bad that second, I couldn’t put ANY pressure on it. I limped over to Yosh and we left IMMEDIATELY! NO good-byes, nothing. I was crying my eyes out in pain…totally drunken WUSS…yes I admit it! So we headed to the emergency room, since we both were convinced it was broken…and to think of it, it seemed like everyone else was convinced (check-in nurse & x-ray guy) except the ER doctor! It ended up being a severe sprain to the TOP of my foot, she said probably pulled/tore all the ligaments on the top of my foot! Yeah…they wrapped it up and gave me crutches.

So…there won’t be any dancing, Zumbaing, running, jumping, NOTHING for a while! I’m so sad…I think the lack of Zumba is giving me mental stress and frustration even MORE! No Zumba along with the Jury Duty crap I feel so depressed and grumpy!! And on top of that…we have the Light The Night walk on Saturday and it looks like I’ll be being pushed in a wagon instead of walking. Grrr so frustrating!!!  I totally didn’t think it take THAT long to heal…BUT its been almost a week and I’m still on crutches…I can apply a little bit of pressure to my foot but MAN…its so annoying! Little Owen is so cute too…he keeps telling me to go to another doctor to fix my owie! haha

Now that I’m done venting about all this depressing stuff…I’m mentally ready for some positives…so thanks for letting me get all this off my chest! haha Cheers to NEXT week since this week SUCKED so bad!
