Pretty amazing to get to go to Disneyland as much as we have lately! We’re lucky peeps! We have some dear friends that work at Disneyland, so they are always so gracious at signing us in…WHICH we totally don’t abuse…usually only go on big days (birthdays or when family is in town). While Missy, Chris and the kids were in town last week…they purchased a Disney package deal w/ 3 days park-hopper passes, hotel, etc. etc. They had a blast…we met them down there one of the days…was fun! But key word there…they bought 3 days passes…but only used TWO (thanks to Peyton getting food poisoning)! So we had 4 tix to Disneyland and Cali Adventure that we had to use within 13 days of the initial use…so that meant before August 2nd. Being a teacher is awesome…since we have LOTS of time…we were able to go on August 2nd and invite some friends who are also teachers w/ little kids, The Manleys. My friend Taryn had purchased a 3 day pass a few weeks ago…so her and Addi joined us as well! We had an amazing day…was nice and hot…but got GREAT seats (right in the SUN) for the parade. hahaha
Notice how the other side of the street was PACKED for the parade (they were obviously in the shade)…that’s because we BAKED in the sun!! And poor Owen…LOVED every second of the parade UNTIL the monkey’s from Lion King came around…I’ll have to admit they were pretty creepy!!
We got on the “Little Circus Train” ride or something like that…next to Dumbo?!? I’ve NEVER been on it before…but it was cute. I haven’t been on the Storybook one either…but on the train we got to see all the mini princess castle’s and stuff. It was cool!
We ended the night at California Adventure…got our Little Mermaid fix…and on one of Owen’s favorites…the “buggy ride”…the one in Bugs Life that is 60 seconds long…and you ride through the watermelon and crackers and it smells watermelon and crackers when you go through them…Owen loves it so he wanted to make sure that Caroline got to enjoy in the buggy experience too
