Old Yotes!!!…2011 CSUSB Alumni Game

April 16th we had our annual CSUSB Alumni polo game. The past 2 years I was unable to attend due to you know, babies and cancer, so I was pretty excited this year when I was healthy enough to participate!  I played for Cal State during the seasons of 2003 and 2004 under Tom Finwall and Lorenzo Maya.  I graduated in December 2004 with a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Paralegal Studies (yes I know something I use everyday at my PE teaching job…haha whadda waste of a degree! haha)  Anyway…

Got a good luck kiss from my little man…since my “old” man was out coaching at the Mt. SAC Swim Invitational.  Then it was Game Time Woot Woot! The game was a lot of fun on one hand…but TOTALLY depressing on the other because our old bodies just didn’t work like they used to.  Getting together with all the girls was pretty cool too…and seeing all the Baby Yotes was adorable~ I could barely get my body out of the water after only playing for about 2minutes…how pathetic huh?!? BUT going 1 for 3 for shots on goal isn’t toooo shabby…haha but I won’t mention that the 2 that didn’t go in the cage missed the pool completely…oops!  The mind knew what to do…how to play…but my body just didn’t cooperate most of the time!! Oh the joys of getting old…and fat…and pale! haha

I treasure the memories I made during those 2 years at Cal State…some of the fondest memories I have are in that pool and during those van rides, and of course, the friends I made there that I hope to never EVER lose!!!
