Have you ever tried dying Easter eggs with a 2 year old? HaHaHa. Yeah well it was pretty funny to say the least! While I was “egg-prepping” the kitchen for Owen and I…I was envisioning our colorful, perfectly decorated eggs…and Owen being cooperative and doing what he was told. Now he was cooperative…loved helping Mommy but my usually sensitive child was actually being ROUGH! Yes…whenever I asked him to place an egg in the little cup full of dye he’d drop/throw it in and crack it would go! lol Too funny.
Was so cute to see him color on the eggs with those invincible crayon. (He even thinks he can multi-task…watch cartoons AND write on the egg! haha)
I wonder what his little brain was thinking…
Once all the eggs were in the dye…Owen wasn’t into the “waiting” part…so we played outside while they soaked and then had a bath while they dried.
After Owens bath we had to finish our decorating. I’m not that brave…so there was no glitter, glue, markers, nothing of that sort…maybe we’ll do that kinda stuff in a few years. So this year we stuck with stickers But Owen LOVES stickers so it was a “great” idea by Mommy! haha
The amount of concentration that Owen had while picking the perfect sticker and putting the tiny little thing ON the egg…was priceless!! lol
Egg after egg…more and more stickers! It was so adorable!
Owen had no clue what all the fuss was about with dying the eggs…but it was a lot of fun for us parents! Last year Owen turned 1 on Easter Sunday…so the dying of eggs was done by Daddy…Doesn’t he loook excited! lol
ps. I got a new 50mm lens for my camera…I just LOVE taking pictures even more now!! heehee Thanks Babe for an awesome birthday gift
So the entire time I was reading this post, I was thinking "did she get a new camera/lens?!"... and then I saw the last sentence, haha. I love my nifty fifty lens...it's great! Awesome pics!
