Celebrating Ella

We all know that I’m not a fan of throwing big parties…yes I do them for the love of my children BUT I’d much rather small gatherings. My anxiety just doesn’t like the large groups.

Ella asked to have a make-up party this year…so I ran with this idea and it turned out super cute.  With it just being a girl party…well girls and their mom’s…I was able to really focus on exactly what Ella wanted. Which was make-up, friends and Happy Meals.

Each girl got their own make-up “station”. Which was a wrapped amazon box and a little mirror.  They all got eyeshadow pallet, 2 brushes, lip gloss, eyeliner, etc.

Girl time always start with a lemonade toast to the birthday girl…she didn’t seem to amused.  It was funny…that morning she kept telling me she didn’t want it to be her birthday…she didn’t want to be older and always wanted to stay small.  So when her friends started showing up she was acting so shy and silly…that wore off pretty quickly.

Her face was cracking me up!

So the party started with Mama giving “make-up instructions” to the other Mom’s. (I was totally pretending like I knew what I was doing…yeah the little kids bought it).

The little girls LOVED having their make-up done for reals.  They all sat so perfectly still for their Mama’s.IMG_1492IMG_1493IMG_1494IMG_1501AfteIMG_1505

After make-up all the girls put in their “order cards” for which Happy Meal they wanted…and we sent Daddy out to get the food.  While they were out getting food we got the girls hair all curled at the hair station…

After hairs were all curled we stopped for a few pics before the little girls got to do make-overs on their mommies. Oh dear lord.

I think the girls loved this part the most…I know Ella did. Her make-up application skills were ON POINTE!

Ella did a great job doing her own thang…yes that is black eye shadow that she used as eyeliner for my “wings”

I hadn’t laughed that much in a long time!!! She is so funny!  All the other mom’s make-up looked decent…but I had to remind myself that Ella was the youngest…so her make-up was the most “creative” haha

I’m SOO mad at myself…I’m missing 2 mom/daughter pictures…how did that happen?!? ugh.. Sorry Kyla and Deanna.

But by then food was here…girls got to enjoy some McDonald’s.

After food we went straight into cake and presents.

When we sang happy birthday she was being so funny…and did the “My eye is on your face”

Ella is the most animated present-opener…she LOVED every gift she got! It was awesome.

And she thought that the card from Brynn was the “cutest thing ever”. haha

My girl had SUCH a great day I was so happy to see how excited she was all day!! Love seein’ her smile.  Our present was a new Belle dress AND a Mommy/Ella Princess day at Disneyland on her actual birthday. We were BOTH excited about that!
