Thankfully I have some friends that are good moms and do the whole cookie decorating thing for holidays. I suck at that…and Owen loves it (well he likes the idea of it anyway).
So we went to a friends house and took some pre-Halloween pictures in their costumes and then decorated some cookies. Ella’s going through that phase of crying when she see’s some strangers…it took her a few to warm up!
Let me explain Owen’s costume…he wanted to be the blue ninja! (HAD to be the darn BLUE ninja!) So we tried on the size 4-6 and it was HUGE. Like WAY too big. So we tried on the 2-4 and it fit perfect….except for the mask/headpiece. Its way to small. Soo….he’s a ninja…without a mask…but I think the sword helped him get over it. We definitely won’t be winning any costume awards THIS year.
I took pictures for the other moms of their little ones in their costumes…I don’t know how professional photographers do it. Darn trying to get little kids to stay in one place is CRAZY! Kellan and Ella are about 20 days apart…he’s a little moose but it was cute watching them together!
I tried getting a picture of the Gerke kids with our kids but Connor was NOT having picture time….so I snapped a few of my two while Taryn tried calming Connor long enough for a picture.
The only one I got of all them looking…yeah, its too bright, out of focus…see…not great but whadda gonna do?!? lol
Cookie decorating time….Owen basically pours a whole thing of sprinkles on the cookies…and THEN the little booger doesn’t even like to eat the cookies! lol
And the non-decorators did a good job keeping themselves busy too!
Fun evening letting kids play…and Owen actually told me when we left that he fell in LOVE with one of the little girls there. He said “I Love her Mom…she is beautiful!” haha Yeah he was serious too…and my heart broke a little!
